Good location, welcoming staff, very clean hotel!
We had a very nice stay in a two-bed room. The room itself was quite small but had everything one needs (incl. new water bottles everyday). The hotel is located in a quite street, right next to the main road which makes it very quiet which is great. The main road is only one minute away with connection to the local train (tram). The hotel staff is super friendly very helpful and takes care of any individual requests. Actually, they were awesome. I highly recommend this hotel if you are comfortable with a standard equipped hotel and do not need extra luxury.

Nicht für Europäische Besucher geeignet
Wir haben das Hotelzimmer gar nicht bezogen. Trotz Stornierung vor Ort haben wir nicht einmal ein Teil der Geldsumme zurückerhalten. Hotel liegt mitten in den Slams von Addis Abea HOTEL.COM prüft nicht vorher was vermittelt wird. Besser ein teurers Angebot vom Reisebüro als zweimal zu bezahlen. Das passiert uns nicht ein zweites Mal.

We do allow customers to cancel with full 100% refund if they did it 24 hours before arrival. In a hope that our loyal customers on the waiting list could get a Room. Relativ neues Hotel in unattraktiver Lage
Das Hotel AG Palace haben wir auf Grund des guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses gebucht. Die überwiegend guten Beurteilungen haben uns die Entscheidung leichter gemacht. Bereits die Anfahrt ließ uns etwas zweifeln, ob das Hotel eine gute Wahl war. Die Lage ist sehr unattraktiv in einer zwar ruhigen, aber sehr abgelegenen Nebenstraße. Eine Schotterpiste, die bei Regen zum Bachlauf mutiert, führt zum Hotel. Die Skepsis bezüglich der Lage hielt den gesamten Aufenthalt an. Nahezu kein Taxifahrer kannte das Hotel und da es abseits der Hauptverkehrswege liegt, ist es auch nicht einfach einem kaum englisch sprechenden Fahrer die Lage zu erklären. Das Hotel selbst ist gut geführt. Der Empfang war professionell und trotzdem herzlich. Die Zimmer sind sauber, das Badezimmer hat fast internationalen Standard. Das Zimmer war eher klein, aber man ist ja in der Regel eh nur zum Schlafen dort. Bettwäsche war sehr sauber, Handtücher auch - leider wurde mehrmals vergessen für zwei Gäste ein Handtuch bereit zu legen. Ein Wasserkocher ermöglicht eine Teepause im eigenen Zimmer einzulegen. Leider hatten wir viele Moskitos im Zimmer. Ein Netz ist jedoch nicht vorhanden, so dass wir jeden Abend uns erst auf Jagd begeben mussten und trotzdem unruhige Nächte hatten. Das Restaurant ist durchschnittlich - aber das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Fazit: ein nettes Hotel, wer die Lage nicht als störend empfindet. Ich würde es aus Lagegründen eher nicht mehr buchen.

Nettes Hotel in ruhiger Gegend
Wir waren anfangs etwas überrascht von der Gegend (ungeteerte Straße, kleine Blechhütten), es stellte sich aber heraus, dass es dort sehr angenehm war und uns besser gefiel als im Zentrum der Stadt, wo es viel lauter und voller ist. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr nett, sprach aber nur wenig englisch. Unser Zimmer war schön, sauber, nur das Bett sehr hart. Alles in allem hat es uns dort gut gefallen.

Feines kleines Hotel zwischen Flughafen und Stadt
War da für nur 1 Tag stopover in Addis. Das Personal war extrem hilfsbereit mit Organisation von Taxi, Tipps zur Erkundung der Stadt. Ein feines kleines Hotel ca. 15min vom Flughafen und 10min in die Stadt. Leider nur recht kleiner Loungebereich in einer Ecke des Restaurants, Barstühle an Theke zur offenen Küche hin.

Sehr angenehm. Das Hotel ist ganz neu (mit kleinen Anlaufschwierigkeiten), sehr sauber, in einer kleinen Gasse 2 Minuten von einer Hauptstraße entfernt, in der es viele öffentliche Transportmittel und Geschäfte gibt. Das Personal ist ausserordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Köche gehen auch auf Sonderwünsche ein.

The hotel is off a dirt road and integrated with a local community. I personally didn't mind, and I felt it gave the hotel a more local feeling. The hotel facilities are great and the rate is very affordable. Overall my experience was great.

El hotel en general nos gustó mucho, la habitación amplia, limpia y servicio de habitaciones diario. El desayuno buffet tenía amplia variedad de elecciones (tanto comida etíope como internacional). Positive-good simple breakfast, staff were friendly, clean room. Good distance to town, bus station and approx 15-25mins to museums Negative- no lift, hot water cuts off after approx 6 mins so possibly on timer.

Great place for the money. Fantastic service!
So my phone got stolen out of my pocket my first day walking around Meskel Square, but I can't hold the hotel staff responsible for that. The service was really fantastic. Members of staff lent me their personal phones to use and, when it was a cold night and I asked for an extra blanket, the staff remembered the next day and made the bed with the extra blanket again. I didn't sleep much due to jetlag and wild dogs barking intermittently at all hours of the night, but again, I can't hold the staff responsible for that. The hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The only real flaws of this place were: 1. No one knows where it is (tell them it's near the Gollagul Tower), though I don't know if that's helpful if you yourself don't know where you're going. 2. The hotel is down a short stretch of really terrible road that taxis have to skillfully crawl over. Apparently, it's been like this for years. 3. The shower, while providing hot water, provided "Ethiopia-level" water pressure i.e. a trickle.

Electricity and wifi off more than on with no fixing. what is the deal? It’s a hotel in 2019 with no regular working electricity? Room with kitchen is not a kitchen. It is a kitchen sink. Place and bathroom was clean and showers working. Breakfast not bad.

The supplier, Ethiopian Electricity Authority has officially announced that there is shortage of supplies and they are working to fix problem soon. we do have a backup generator that we operate mainly at night. We do not want to charge guest more for the rooms to compensate for the Fuel. We still wants our room rates to be affordable and excellent value for money.

Greetings dear guest, Thank you for taking time to review our Hotel. The electricity problem is beyond our level. The Ethiopian electric Authority ( the government ) who is responsible to manage this had officially announced that there is shortage of supplies and they are working to fix the problem soon. Thus everyone in Addis Ababa expects shortage at some time during the day. Saying that , we do have a backup generator that we operate at night . we do not want to charge guest more for the room to compensate fuel cost during day time.

Great value for money, some maintenance needed
Overall, when comparing this hotel to other hotels in the same price range, this hotel is a great value for money. It's clean, has a convenient location, restaurant, free breakfast, Wifi all of which you would not necessarily expect when paying under 30 USD. The only thing I would advise the owner is to invest in more solid equipment, especially in the bathroom. The plastic toilet covers break, the soap holder falls off, the shower head is falling apart etc. It pays off in the long term...Also the access road is bumpy and not paved for the last 50-100 m, not much to do about it, just expect it.

Clean rooms comfy bed reasonable price
It was amazing place given how cheap the price is. It was really clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was basic but for the price the hotel charges per night it's really good. We had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this place 👌👌👌
