In response to this review, we would like to remind guests inquiring about our lake home that it is ON THE WATER. There will be bugs, mosquitoes, and an occasional spider, fallen leaves and sticks on the patio. We can’t control nature. This home is a quaint cottage style walkout that was built in 1940 and was meant to be used as a weekend lake home. It sits at the bottom of a hill, so we do stress the stairs are very steep and not suitable for the very young or the elderly. The home you walk into is exactly as we describe in the listing, we welcome dogs with a fenced front and back yard, and we respond to our guests promptly. We discontinued the use of air fresheners because too many people were sensitive to the fragrance. We still have them has a night light in the bathroom. The hand soap in each bathroom are pump style from bath and body works, not sure if this guest wanted a new bottle put out, but she never mentioned it during her stay. We are confused as to why the is rating is only three stars, because everything she didn’t like about the features of the home, we have mentioned in the listing. Perhaps a home away from the lake would have been better suited for this guest. For the guests wanting a beautiful view, pontoons, and lake life, WELCOME TO THE LAKE! :)
