When we arrived at 7pm, we were informed that no double‑bed room was available, despite having specifically requested it and noting this in our booking. We were instead offered a king room, or a king room with a crib, neither of which was acceptable, particularly given that we were on vacation and had paid extra for a sea‑view room.
After some back‑and‑forth, we were eventually given two king‑size bedrooms, but both rooms had multiple issues. Although the design was modern, the quality did not meet five‑star standards. In my room, the fridge was leaking, the safe was not functioning, and the water was not warm enough for a bath, requiring several maintenance visits. During my stay I heard a weird water sound (flushing) several times, I did not figure out what it was until the day I was leaving, turns out the toilet seat flushes on its own, and no it is not a sensor based seat.. it is a manual flushing toilet.
I am generally not demanding when it comes to food, and I am familiar with Arab cuisine, but the breakfast was below basic expectations, not even in line with what one would find in a three‑star hotel.
While the staff tried their best to resolve issues, and were generally nice, it was such a disappointing stay.
