Von Außen ortstypisch ... von Innen spitze.
Wir hatten eine geräumige, zentral gelegene, günstige und trotz Straßenfront ruhige Suite mit modernem Bad. Das includierte Frühstück war überschaubar und mit frischem Obst angereichert; nur die beiden Brötchensorten waren immer die gleichen und nicht wirklich knackig/lecker sondern eher Nahrung als Genussmittel. Besonders nett waren die Servicekräfte!!! Viele empfehlenswerte Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe, belebtes und beliebtes Straßencafe gegenüber.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit Holzboden. Altbauflair und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Betten sind sehr bequem und alles super sauber. Schöner, geräumiger Balkon. Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen.

A beautiful 2 bedroom (very comfortable beds), 1 bath, kitchen, living/dining room. Loved that there's a washing machine and a lovely balcony to dry the washing or to sit and enjoy each other's company over morning coffee or a cold beer in the eveninng. Loved the closeness to very good restaurants and walking the river. Parking right out the door which must be paid for or one gets ticketed . . . We were not told and therefore did not realize we needed to pay . . . Coming from another country we didn't realize what was needed The only negative was that the drains in both the shower and bathroom sink drain very slowly . . . In fact, the shower stopped draining at all!! No doubt brought on by hair clogs in peatraps for a very long time. The sink drain needs a good cleaning as it smells from the unattended clog. Brought this to the attention of management, so hoping for the next guests the plumbing is working properly.

This was such a different experience than you get at the big chain hotels. Villa Rio is intimate, cozy, easily accessible and so accommodating. I highly recommend it if you're going to be in Portimao for a short visit.

A great hotel off season (early December), staff were fantastic, nice breakfast everyday and the hotel was clean and modern. Price of just EUR50 per night B&B for 2 adults is unbeatable....... We stayed in one of the upstairs roof rooms and could hear a little traffic noise, whilst did not bother us might do for people with sensitive hearing. I would highly recommend this hotel and if the traffic noise is an issue select one of the lower level rooms which we know are quiet as we had a friend stay in one of those rooms.

Alojamiento impecable, la cama de otro nivel, súper cómoda, en general todo fue perfecto, la limpieza ideal, nunca vi los cristales de la ducha tan limpios y el desayuno genial. Las chicas que trabajan tanto como en el desayuno como en el check in geniales. La verdad repetiría sin duda. En la habitación había shampoo/gel y acondicionador, como botella de agua y pantuflas. Perfecto todo. Muchas gracias por todo.

Wonderful place in the center of Portimao
We loved this Guest House so much we extended our stay from one night to three! Super friendly staff, very clean and beautiful place, centrally located for a nice walk on the riverfront. Plenty of restaurants and shops walkable area. Also loved the breakfast. Only wish I could have used the pool but it was November so a little too chilly for that.

Habitación y baño espaciosos, decorados con cariño y calidad. Ducha generosa. Cama y almohada confortables. Desayuno con bufete pequeño pero de excelente calidad, con mesas montadas en una terracita soleada. Café de cortesía. Personal un diez. Ubicación excelente, a un paso del centro histórico, restaurantes y el paseo marítim, y parking gratuito a 3 minutos. Totalmente recomendable ;-)!

Quarto muito espaçoso, com decoração agradável, com bastante claridade natural proporcionada pelas enormes janelas/portas dos balcões virados para uma praça na rua em frente. Estacionamento público não muito longe sem custo. Local do café da manhã não muito adequado, com cadeiras ruins, baixas, que ocupam muito espaço.

Do not recommend
This is a private Villa with a strange entrance. Busy riverfront. Called. Left message. Could get in. Had police escort me and finally someone answered and let us in. Parking is expensive onsite. Free parking is 800 feet away. No elevators and departure support was terrible. Gal was on personal call the whole time.

I had a fabulous stay! The guest house is conveniently located off A22 in Portomao. I stayed in the top floor apartment which has a stunning view of the harbor. The room was extra spacious and the towels were replaced/bed made daily and the staff was very courteous. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place in Portimao. The only caveat is that there are quite a bit of stairs once you enter the building, so take note if you're physically limited.

Our two bedroom apartment had a washer but no dryer. Although the unit had a balcony we could not dry our clothes as there was no hanger. We were told it was broken and no alternative was provided. As for parking, community parking was nearby free from midnight to 9 am.

O quarto é na realidade igual às fotografias, muito agradável com vista rio. Tem uma pequena casa-de-banho moderna, um bom armário mas não tem frigobar, nem cofre. O quarto estava limpo, a roupa de cama e banho impecáveis. A cama é confortável mas o colchão não é tão fofo como estava à espera. As almofadas são ótimas. A localização é perfeita para quem quer estar no centro de Portimão. Por ser no centro ouve-se algum barulho no quarto. A piscina é pequena mas muito agradável. Aspetos menos positivos: para quem vai de carro pode ser difícil encontrar o local e estacionar. A suíte yellow fica no segundo andar e as escadas são muitas e íngremes. A receção não foi nada agradável, nem um sorriso, nem um "sejam bem-vindos". O pequeno almoço ficou aquém da expetativa face ao elevado preço por noite que se paga no verão. Resumindo, foi uma estadia de 2 noites que em momento nenhum ponderei ficar mais tempo ou voltar no futuro.
