The house looks a lot like the pictures and we appreciated the big bathroom with two mirrors and the roomy master bedroom. If you are a family that likes to cook together, they don’t have much cooking ware. They really only have the very basics. However, I called and asked for a few things and she had them delivered right away. Also, as other people have stated, this house is feet off the main road. I did not realize how close it was until we got there.Overall, this house worked for us for the week.

Clean for the most part. The dishes and silverware were all put away with something crusted still on it. Only one bottle of hand soap for the entire house. The front door has cracks in it that let in light and sound. Cars drive through quickly, so it sounds like speeding cars are right next to you. If anyone is in the top bunkbed, they better not ever move or the whole thing turns into a squeak factory. Host response time was quick and very polite. Check in was easy.

The house is cozy, meaning it has only 2 bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs, and a living-dining-kitchen area downstairs. Upstairs, both rooms together had a total of 3 beds that were roomy enough for my 4 teenagers (ranging in heights from 5’10” to 6’3”). The teens all complimented the mattress comfort! There are 2 couches in the first floor living room large enough to accommodate one person each. The kitchen and dining room were large enough for all 5 of us. The kitchen appliances and washer/dryer appeared new. The downstairs bathroom- as advertised -just has a toilet and a sink. The hosts went above and beyond with responding to messages the first night while we figured out the heat. The house got 4 out of 5 stars because the windows are a little tricky to fully close and lock, and if it’s not done correctly, the inside temperature can drop. Again, I really appreciated the hosts who were very helpful. I would rank this house as a very good value for the money.

Gut: Lage

While the property offered ample parking and a convenient location with a store across the street, our overall experience was disappointing due to issues with access, cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.Upon arrival, we were unable to access the property despite being promised entry information the day before, causing us to be late for a wedding rehearsal and dinner. We had to contact customer support to obtain the access code and entry instructions.Inside, the home had a strong smoke odor that persisted throughout our stay, despite purchasing candles and air fresheners. The smell even transferred to our luggage and belongings. The property had numerous maintenance issues, including towels left in the dryer, non-working kitchen outlets, a refrigerator door that would not stay closed, damaged sheetrock upstairs, questionable electrical outlets, a moldy and unusable dishwasher, holes under the kitchen cabinets suggesting possible pest activity, a broken fireplace glass panel that appeared improperly repaired, and a back door that was bolted shut and unusable. While the property has potential, it appears poorly maintained and in need of significant repairs. Given its condition and the price charged, we found it significantly overpriced. We were so dissatisfied that we forfeited our final prepaid night and moved to a hotel near the Philadelphia airport rather than continue our stay.
