The room we stayed in had drop ceilings with the brightest, most uncomfortable bright white fluorescent lighting that not even the worst office building would tolerate. We tried to make do with the two lamps on the nightstands and the microwave range light for the duration of our stay because these lights were so aggressive. The “queen” bed was actually a double. I’m 5’8” and my feet hung over the edge. The overly-soft mattress rested on what I assume was a broken or worn out base, which led to me and my husband rolling into the center of the small bed each night. The walls are paper thin, our door wouldn’t shut without slamming it, and the floors are cheap and poorly installed. Even on the 10th floor, we could hear the traffic and street noises like we were outside at ground level. The water pressure is abyssal and I am so glad I washed my hair right before we travelled so I didn’t have to try to do it here. Just washing my body and getting all the soap off was a challenge.
The rooms are spacious in terms of square footage, though the layout is very weird. It was nice having a mini fridge and microwave, and the A/C unit was loud enough to drown out some of the noise. That’s probably the nicest thing I can say about this place.
