„We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together“

„The cottage is absolutely beautiful. My partner went down with a virus as soon as we got there, and if you have to be sick on holiday, this is the place to do it. Plenty of room for both of us, and the couch was ridiculously comfortable for me to sleep on. Happily, we were able to extend our stay until she felt better. Jenia was very helpful and sympathetic. I loved being near a small town where I could shop for cooking at home in a well-provided kitchen - and the gorgeous Lanercost Priory such ...

„Der Aufenthalt an sich war gut. Allerdings ist die Wohnung dunkel (nicht so hell, wie auf dem Bild) und extrem muffig - nach Schimmelgeruch. Das war sehr unschön. Im Keller stehen verschimmelte Möbel und aus einem Einbauholzschrank in dder Essecke riecht es ebenfalls extrem schimmelig. Wir haben den ganzen unteren Bereich mit "Febreze" behandelt und dauerbelüftet. Dann ging es nach ein paar Tagen einigermaßen. Die ersten 2 Tage haben wir noch nach Ersatzwohnraum geschaut, weil wir wirklich stark ...

„Das Haus ist toll. Es war alles super sauber . Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig , unsere Nachbarn waren Schafe 😃Städte in der Umgebung sind schnell erreichbar . „"The Fold" war ein tolles Häuschen, in dem wir uns über den Urlaub hinweg super wohl gefühlt haben! Es hat viel ländlichen Charme, ist zwar nicht 'geleckt' sauber, aber sehr hygienisch und nach normalen Standards zum Wohlfühlen. Es bietet Platz zum Zurückziehen und auch zum gemütlichen Zusammensitzen (allem voran den traumhaften Wintergarten) und ist - mit eigenem Auto - ein schöner Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen. Am Abend hat man sich immer wieder auf und über das Heimkommen gefreut!“

„An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes.“

„It is a great property in a lovely rural location, yet only a mile or so from Alston. Furnished to a high standard the cottage had all you could need for a comfortable stay (even though we picked a very wet 2-3 days). We enjoyed our all-to-brief stay, and look forward to returning, hopefully when the weather is better and we can enjoy the outside patio area with it's wonderful views.“

Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles.
