Hotel Amherst

« Nice and quiet location, very quaint. It’s inside Sweet Briar’s college grounds, which on a busy day requires registration at the entry security gate, no issues there, just a quick checkpoint for college traffic safekeeping we learned. The Inn itself is well maintained for an older building. However age is not an issue, all standard hotel amenities are up to date. While this area is very convenient for the college, our destination was the town of Lynchburg, which worked well for our stay. All in...

« Parking is great. Convenient to Liberty University, Thomas Road Baptist Church, and the mall area. Breakfast is subpar. There were no scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, or potatoes. »

« Juste un peu bruyant par la circulation »

« This was one of the best stays I had on my 3 week trip! Everyone was very kind and helpful. The restaurant on the roof top was excellent. The rooms were very clean! Very nice place to stay. »

« Nice hotel and convenient location. Nothing above “just average” for amenities. Nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was ok but nothing to put as a priority to book here. The lady serving breakfast did a fabulous job keeping food available and caring for guests. Overall nice place but nothing worth the $200+ room rate. »

« The Staff was amazing / Rachel at front desk made us feel at home with being so kind. »

« Very friendly staff. Charming place »

« The cleanliness. »

« No frills older hotel. It met my needs. I always stay here when I travel to Lynchburg as the price & location are perfect for my needs. »

« Le personnel est tres gentil et serviable »

« Hotel is clean and well maintained. The back side of the hotel faces onto highway 29 which is loud. There were also groups of youth in the hotel parking lot next store making a fair amount of noise. If you stay on the front side of the hotel it should be no problem. Breakfast was good. »
