This was for us a ‘ walk down memory lane’ our honeymoon hotel 58 years ago and not only was it still in operation, it was very welcoming. Staff were very helpful with our luggage since there was no lift. So a very pleasant and quiet stay.

The Trecastell hotel i a little gem found in the beautiful Bull Bay on the Island of Anglesey. The hotel whilst a little dated was clean, comfortable, welcoming and the food was outstanding. We shall be back. Thank you

An unique place along the coast of northern Anglesey. What a superb view from the room at the front. We enjoyed it very much. Absolutely the key feature. We were very happy with our upgrade, because of the beds. We found out the beds in Wales are not for tall people.

Nice hotel
Nice hotel but definitely need a car as not much to do in Bull Bay which doesn’t have a beach. Rooms have been modernised and have lovely views over the sea. Anyone with mobility problems should note that some rooms are on the 2nd floor and there is no lift. Breakfast was good.

Clean, friendly staff and great view.
Clean Hotel with friendly staff and great views of the bay. I wouldn't say great value for money, quite outdated and room was small for a 'double'. I would stay again, only if the price was lower.

Great place to stay
We stayed in the king room with sea views, absolutely beautiful,also clean and replenished daily. The shower could be better (more pressure and more heat), but not the worst. The evening food in the restaurant was great, but the breakfast wasn't fantastic, and certainly wasn't locally sourced. Great friendly staff. Hotel location is great, and only a short drive to other places of beauty, and bar/restaurants. Would definitely return.

So good that we stayed an extra night
This is a lovely hotel and made even better by staying in one of the luxury rooms... with views to take your breath away. We, as all the guests, were made so very welcome by the owners, managers and all the team at this lovely family hotel and restaurant. Everything was what you need for a relaxing break, and we would not hesitate in booking again. The restaurant food was ample and freshly cooked ... and lots of locals there which speaks volumes!

Great weekend break
We had a lovely weekend at the hotel, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was very clean and tidy with fantastic sea views. We would definitely stay here again. The only dislike we had was having to order breakfast in advance rather than in the morning.

The whole stay was perfect
From booking in to leaving the staff were extremely helpful It was our wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise my husband with a bit of a celebration and they were happy to help The food is excellent We had a great view of the sea We are definitely going to go back

Food was excellent. They catered for my gluten free diet perfectly. Staff where very friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel is very tired and in need of a makeover. Old non matching furniture. No chairs in room to sit on or chest of drawers. Location is excellent, main reason we chose it.

Still getting through the covid restrictions so unfair not to factor that in. I think your comfort level depends on which room you're in - and so how much you've paid - as it is with most hotels. Very convenient for a walk into Bull Bay and on the headland.

Decidedly average
Room was disappointing, advertised as deluxe but no more than average. Decor stuck in the 1980s, best feature was the view. Had to pre-order breakfast and select a time slot the night before, yet service was slow.

We were on the Wales coastal path. Tim is walking 872 miles for Charity. He is staying in hotels for about 50 nights This was a nice hotel and good food

The food was excelent, main meals were very generous. The views were stunning. The drinks were quite pricey and I was disappointed that the cocktails are bottled pre-mixed and not good value for money. The twin room was small but perfectley compfortable, compfy bed! Al staff very profesional and welcoming. All in all a very good stay.

We had a wonderful stay. Friendly staff, breathtaking sea views and lovely comfortable room. Lots of choices for dinner in the hotel. Tea coffee and biscuits topped up in room. Relaxing hotel. Saw dolphins on a nearby coastal walk!

Lovely and brilliant staff!
Loved it! Staff and service throughout our stay was warm, friendly and attentive. Excellent restaurant onsite and breakfast was lovely. The en-suite room was clean, cosy and had a lovely ocean view and easily ventilated should you wish. Unfortunately we had a well nourished individual above us with defining footsteps; nothing you can do about that! Recommended and would stay here again and again!

Terrific sea views, easy access by road, friendly, courteous & helpful staff. Coastal path walking almost straight from the hotel. Good quality food and selection, with other restaurants or bars a short drive away. Competitively priced and good value.
