"When we got to the hotel we immediately noticed it didn't have much quality standards, but still we decided to stay, especially because it was late. When we got to our room, it felt way too small, but again that wasn't a problem. However, there was a light blinking every 2 seconds for the whole night, which is something that can be quite disturbing when someone is trying to sleep, which was my case. Still, we decided to stay for the night, although i was thinking of maybe changing the hotel. The next day the breakfast was very poor, but that was expected: it was a cheap hotel. However, in the afternoon the hotel started doing a space renovation for the entry lobby (which also served as a breakfast room), with at least 3 men working there with all the mess that comes with it and also on the 1st floor for conservation works (they should have closed the hotel to do that kind of works) and we decided to leave immediately. I know the value wasnt refundable, but still i expect some kind of compensation for this experience, because i had to pay for another hotel and the Experience was very bad. I dont think hotels.com should work with such a hotel and i booked through hotels.com as i thought this kind of thing wouldnt happen. I am expecting an answerr from hotels.com. "A day before my departure, I was informed by the hotel reception that I needed to change my room. However, when I visited the reception that same morning before leaving the hotel to inquire about my lost package, I was not informed about any room change. While I was out of the city during the day, I received a call from the hotel stating there was a problem in the bathroom and that a renovation was necessary, making the room change mandatory. I informed them that I would return in the evening and that the room change could be done then. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, our room was not ready yet. We were immediately asked to pack our belongings, and in the end, we were given a lower-standard room. Ms. at the reception behaved very rudely and indifferently. There was neither an apology nor any explanation for this confusion and inconvenience. Such behavior is absolutely unworthy of an employee at a five-star hotel. We did not accept the lower-standard room. Meanwhile, while we were packing our things, the phone lines in our room were cut off! When we wanted to speak to the hotel manager, he responded sarcastically, saying, "Then stay in the old room." Although we had already packed our belongings, I was shocked by this careless attitude and disrespect. Neither an apology nor a proposed solution was offered. Our grievance was almost mocked. This is definitely not a five-star hotel."

"Comme prévu, nous sommes arrivé à 5h du matin et il n'y avait personne à la réception. Nous avons du attendre + de 20 min pour avoir quelqu'un. Nous avons même fait le tour de l'hôtel pour trouver quelqu'un. On était tellement fatigué qu'on était nerveux. Le gars de la réception s'est endormi et venu nous servir avec sa chemise froissée et sortie de son pantalon. Mais le reste est super!"
