Just wanting to warn potential travelers that "vacation rental by owner" (how Vrbo gets its initials) does not apply to this home. It is managed remotely by a HUGE property management company with 10s of thousands of properties for rent in many countries. There is zero cell service in Arnold other than Verizon, and the big management company only will communicate by text, so this means wifi cannot help you. When we arrived at this property--nice house, up a long STEEP driveway, covered in more than one foot of fresh snow--there was no way to get our all-wheel-drive vehicle up to the house. When I attempted to get someone through the Vrbo app to respond, there was an AI bot talking to me through the chat, giving nonsensical advice and answers to questions I did not have. By the time I found a working phone to call them, the person I spoke with was adamant that it's not their responsibility to clear snow to make the rental accessible. This is a rant because it really ruined the entire experience to be blown off like that. I have never rented through Vrbo and had to deal with a corporation instead of a homeowner. If it matters to you whether there is local, personal support, do not rent this property.
