„The pub and restaurant are closed from Monday to Wednesday, but, the rooms are available, but, the breakfast is available, if you are staying there. The Inn is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and ample parking. The transport links are excellent to Huddersfield and surrounding areas. Julie, the host, is very nice and knowledgable about the area, who also cooks a very good breakfast. „The nice pictures on the webpage do not reflect the reality, as these are from restaurant only. The hotel and the rooms are old, not refurbished nor renovated, smelling badly, bathroom old and not really nice. Aircond/ hester laud and smelling badly. We could not make use of the breakfast, as on weekends breakfast is available from 8am on only. In the restaurant, there are no prices on the menue for drinks - watch out, not to be badly surpriced! „Friendly family business, good value. Comfortable bed and hot shower which was exactly what I needed after 18 hours of international travel. I stayed 2 nights in late September to attend a wedding in nearby Ripponden. The room was quite chilly but I actually like sleeping in a cold room. A space heater was provided, though I didn’t use it as the bed was cosy enough. It was handy that they served food downstairs and I really appreciated the vegetarian/vegan selections including veggie sausages ...
