The location is great and the apartment is pretty spacious and arranged well. The check-in / check-out process was smooth, except that it was hard to figure out which floor our apartment was in.There were several things that needed maintenance. For starters, there was no hot water which made showering at night difficult. Also the shower handles in both bathrooms are broken and came off several times while showering. The door handle also came off while trying to lock the door. The couch was on its last legs and the middle part was resting on just one extended screw which made lying on it difficult. The Keurig was also broken. Contacting the host was also difficult.

Good location

Dimitris was so helpful with check in/out and was able to quickly solve an issue for us. It's close proximity to the Acropolis, Ancient Agora and metro station made this a great location for our visit.

Consider the scenario, pmt link outside of vrbo

We were not able to stay here because the apt was booked to someone else by the time we got Athens. My card didn’t go through for the second payment due to a fraudulent report and subsequently being cancelled. We were traveling and I didn’t notice the charge didn’t go through until the end of the day on the due date. The links he sent weren’t working for me for alternate payment. The links were outside of Vrbo. I requested that he send payment request through Vrbo to use my alternate credit cards but he said he was unable to do that.I contacted Leroy and told him the situation and that we were on the plane and all of our arrival time, by this time the credit card situation was sorted out and he said we could pay at check in without a problem.By the time we got to Athens, after the plane landed and we could turn on the phones again the apartment had been rented to someone else. He offered a different option but it wasn’t comparable to what we had reserved or needed. In the end we felt like it was a blessing in disguise that it didn’t work out, since pmt seemed shady. Lesson learned: have a few favorites saved on your list that you can fall back on in case your reserved unit doesn’t go through.
