When I checked in, my room was very hot, and the air conditioning was not up to par. The glasses in the room were dirty. I was unable to sleep well all my second night because there was so much noise coming from some type of sports tournament. It was horrible. After checking out, I went outside to have a smoke break and to arrange for my ride, after paying for a less than satisfactory stay, 2 hotel workers approached me and said that the general manager, said I had 10 minutes to leave the property. I was godsmacked, because I did not think that I would be mistreated in that way after just paying almost $300 for my stay. I wanted to know why I was being treated this way, and the front desk clerk said that they had a problem with homelessness, which is not true because, I'm from that area, and there is rarely any visible homelessness. But, I was a quiet, paying guest who was simply waiting on her ride and was targeted and dehumanized by these Hotel staff members. I believe that my race did play a part of it. People of the same race can be biased toward each other. It was so humiliating, and so unexpected to be mistreated like this The quality of the rooms, breakfast, and customer service were all way below average. I hope that if these people continue in the hospitality industry, they will learn to understand what that word means. I hope that they will also understand how to treat others with dignity
