Perfect number of bedrooms for our friends, wish there was a communal bathroom on the 2nd floor, but I know it's an old farmhouse. There's one in the master upstairs.Kitchen is large and dining table is perfect for friends sharing BBQ dinner (that we cooked on the BBQ outside). The firepit outside is lovely. Corn hole was fun too. Beautifully maintained farm, and you don't smell the chickens. So convenient to Skan Lake and town.
This was a lovely house for our stay in Auburn. We had 9 adults and there were beds for everyone (one room has 3 twin beds trundle style which was fine for our needs). The beds and other spaces around the house were comfortable. The kitchen has a decent amount of pots and pans but was a little challenging when trying to cook large meals for our group (just could use a couple of larger pans and a sharp knife). A nice, big dining table was great for meals, socializing, and playing games. The ac was a must as some days were warm and humid. We discovered after a warm night that there is no ac unit in the room with a full bed, and no screen on the window so it could be left open. The house sits in a beautiful, quiet area. Although we saw a few people working on the adjacent farm, we werenât in any was disturbed by their work. This was a lovely place for our extended family to spend time together.
What a beautifully done farmhouse. Comfortable, warm, clean, fully stocked with anything you could need. Gorgeous sunrise over the barns. And that bathtub!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well equipped farmhouse. There was an issue with some flies trapped in the upstairs bedroom upon arrival, but once we addressed the problem, our stay was thankfully fly-free. It was so relaxing to sit on the comfortable patio and take in the view of the countryside.
My buddies and I used this as a board gaming get away.
We had 8 people there, and we all slept comfortably spread out throughout the house. The kitchen was large and clean for us to cook. The dining room table was huge and allowed us to play 2 games at the same time and all eat together. We were able to message them and they always got back to me quickly! Check out was super easy. It is close enough to both Auburn that if you forgot anything there are plenty of options nearby.
I may not have read carefully enough, but there is no internet or TV there. That was a bummer for us (only because the college football season had started.) The only other concern is that that they had house rules of no alcohol only after we arrived. We understood they just wanted to make sure there were no huge parties and damage the property, but a different set of rules from when you book and then when you arrive isn't ideal.
With that in mind, we would 100% book this again if we were looking for a board game getaway!
Very large and spacious. Nice remodel of old farmhouse. We had plenty of room. Kitchen needed a few more items, such as measuring spoons and cups. Having coffee items there on arrival was great. Plenty of towels. Nice laundry room. Wished there was wifi and tv. Didnât realize there wasnât any! Obviously didnât read that.
Read the house rules and what it offers. Took for granted that there would be a TV in Internet
Location: countryside, quiet, beautiful scenery, on working farm. Just minutes to places you want to go.
House: open kitchen eating area,. Outside space. Small living room.
Each room had their own A/c unit that work great
However, the bedroom with the double bed did not. It got hot and stuffy. The door needs to be open to get the air from across the hall.
The stairs are steep and you use them frequently because access to the full bath downstairs. The full bath upstairs is part of the master bedroom.
The house did not provide internet or TV. However we brought our own. There is great cell reception and we used a mobile hotspot not the one on our phones but different device and it worked great.
We were in town for a wedding and this property location was perfect. A pretty patio to sit on. THE AC kept the house very cool. It was very hot when we were there so the AC was appreciated. .
Nice property. It is a little isolated, in the middle of vast fields. No wifi or televisions, so be prepared for peaceful isolation. We struggled with tge flies and couldn't understand how they got inside. We bought some fly swatters and left tgem at the property for the next guest. Overall, it was a beautifully peaceful stay.
We needed a place to stay in the Finger Lakes and did NOT want to pay up for lakefront property in April. The farm house was an awesome alternative, far more reasonably priced and exactly as advertised. Brought back lots of memories from when we lived on a farm, great views and very quiet. Thank you for a great stay!
