Comfortable, lovely and clean!

We had a lovely family weekend getaway Feb 14-17, 2025. The house is clean, beds are very comfortable and it has such a nice lakeside back yard and view! Kitchen is stocked with everything needed for a family.

Serenity

There was excellent communication throughout our stay. We had an amazing time hanging out with our Seattle family. The house is spacious and clean, breathtaking really. The views are indescribable and the access to the water was a dream. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, although there a bar a few doors down, the sound in the house remains in the house and there is very little that can be heard from the outside while in the house. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely look to this place again, next time we are in town.

Beautiful Lake house

Peaceful and tranquil setting… So happy with how clean everything was.. Everything was conveniently there if we needed some thing the store was right up the street… Alex was always very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything .., Location super easy to get to… and the outdoor fire was really really really nice … It was great to find something like this it’s such a great location it was close convenient but felt like we really got away from it all.

A great stay on a lovely lake!

If there were half-star ratings, we'd give this place a 4.5. We are a family of three who just spent two weeks at the lake house. The host - Alex is extremely communicative and accommodating. Before we arrived, I wrote to ask if the house had a salad spinner and muffin tin so I'd know if I should bring them from home. Alex ordered them right away and they were at the house when we arrived. He was like that throughout - great, clear communication and very accommodating. Check-in/Check-out - A breeze! You get a code and let yourself in. There are no detailed instructions for check out. The lake - Wonderful! Internal combustion engines are not allowed, so the lake is quiet. It's also quite warm for a lake in the Pacific Northwest. We enjoyed paddling around and swimming. The house comes with a kayak and a paddleboat as well as life vests, which is great. Location - The view of the lake from the house is lovely and the outdoor space is really wonderful. Tons of space and a lovely gazebo where you can sit in the shade looking out at the lake. One thing to note is that Star Lake is close to the freeway and to the flight path for Sea-Tac airport. They both generate quite a bit of background noise. I'm sensitive to noise, so found it challenging, but I know other reviewers weren't bothered by it. The surrounding area is not lovely or interesting, but if you want to visit Seattle and other places nearby (or just hunker in at the lake) this would be a great place to stay. The house - Very clean and nicely laid out. The master bedroom suite is upstairs on the 3rd floor and the other bedrooms are downstairs. There is a sweet little bedroom right off the master that's clearly set up for aa young child, so there's a great option if your child is too little to sleep on a different floor. There's also tons of space in the master for a portable crib. The master bathroom is huge and lovely. The rest of the bedrooms/baths are good too. The house does feel a bit like no one has ever lived there...a little like corporate housing rather than what one generally finds as a lake rental. It's not as warm and cozy feeling as other lake houses we have rented, but it's very functional, clean, and tidy with a great view and Alex is an excellent communicator. We look forward to coming back!

Nice Local Get Away

Smooth process checking in/out. The beds were very comfortable. Spacious master bedroom and bathroom. Large yard for fun with a family. If you want to use the bbq, bring charcoal! I would stay again.

Amazing lake front property

This place was perfect for our Memorial Day weekend getaway for our family. The property is well managed and the house is so spacious. I am originally from the area but with a growing family it’s easier to stay at a rental than with family and this place was peaceful, family friendly, safe, and so much fun. We definitely will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed this modern 3 story house with great views of the lake. Owner was very supportive of questions and concerns. Had guest over for thanksgiving dinner and they were very impressed and might book house for a summer retreat.

Wonderful weekend

The house was incredible and in a safe and beautiful area. The property has amazing amenities and is directly on Star Lake and a 5 min walk to Star Bar and Grill. Alex (the property manager) was wonderful to work with and was extremely accommodating and allowed us an early check in which was very helpful with two young kids. The house was better than we expected and we can't wait to come back! Thank you for letting us stay, we highly recommend this property!

Most amazing lake house

I honestly cannot tell you enough good things about this property. Alex was very commutative, the property was clean, extremely nice and furnished with everything you need. Great place for groups! Couple minutes from the freeway and stores and about 20 mins from Seattle. The best part was just waking up and being able to go down to the dock and have a cup of coffee. I highly commend this property!

This property was beautiful and well maintained. The check in process was easy and contactless. The outdoor space was wonderful, we enjoyed kayaking in the lake. The interior of the house was very clean. I would highly recommend!

Lakeside Home Base

Beautiful, comfortable house with an inspiring view, with a terrific backyard and dock, looking out onto a lovely small lake. Plenty of room for indoor and outdoor living. The neighborhood is a bit uneven, and there are very few walking destinations, but we enjoyed every minute we were in the house.

This house was perfect for a family vacation! Even on hot days when the temperatures were well above normal, the lake was a perfect place to go cool off. The owner went well out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and was readily available if there were any questions.

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

If we could go over 5 stars for ambience, we would - tranquility is over the top, and the home was immaculate and comfortable. The view is beautiful and peaceful, with several places to sit and enjoy it...gazebo, dock, and deck.
