« The Hideaway is located only a 5 minute walk from the village centre and a 20-30 minute walk down to the ferry and all the cafes, pubs and restaurants at Bowness. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. However, the most memorable feature was the breakfast which was the best we have ever had, the choice was excellent. To top it all there was a choice of home made cake everyday to take with you for your walk. I would definitely stay there again. »

« Always nice to stay here staff friendly and food is very good especially the Sunday lunch. The shepherds huts are perfect everything you need for a relaxing break nice touch with the dressing gowns so we can get to and from hot tub. Ideally situated for walking don’t have to use car if you don’t want to. »

« Right on the edge of Grasmere village, a maximum 10 minute walk. Suite was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Two pubs within walking distance, the best being the Travellers Rest, excellent food. One thing to note, no breakfast is included with this accommodation but you do get a discount at a good local 'cafe'. »

« Stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. We were met by John, the owner, who was very helpful in suggesting raxi firms to use. We were allocated a a room on the top floor which was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and all freshly cooked. Overall a very enjoyable stay. »

« We enjoyed our stay at Kotel. Good location, good wifi connection. However we would have liked to have had an electric hob as with only a microwave cooking was rather limited. Also not easy to wash up as no plug in the sink. Fortunately there was an ice bucket I could use to wash up!!!. Crockery was also limited to 2 sets only. Had to check with staff on site re disposal of our rubbish as bins not very big. It would also be good that the Kotel staff supply a brush and dustpan for sweeping up the...

« Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping...
