I booked the ‘apartment’, which looked lovely with a nice balcony, and I was given the apartment ‘affairs’ which is clean but not pretty at all inside, with a tiny balcony to hang washing on and the hardest bed I have ever slept on (I have bruises on my ribs and hip from the hardness of the bed for three nights…). « Fantastic place. Full of great restaurants, beautiful churches, Baroque architecture. A good base for exploring the eastern side of Sicily. Our accommodation was right next to the main area though in a quiet location… we had a wonderful roof terrace with great views »

The apartment looked clean and recently renovated but it seemed a little uncompleted (bathroom hand towel hooks were missing, the shower drain overflowed, paint was peeling in hallway, television was connected but didn’t work).
