« Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

« Took the train/bus to Varenna from Milan. Check in was a short walk from bus stop. Apartment was a perfect location for our visit. Public dock was right outside the apartment. Ferry was a 10 minute walk. Apartment was spacious and nice. »

« Lovely accommodations..wonderful hosts..great view over Lake Como and a great restaurant..just a short walk up the hill...Grotto di Pino..it an incredible view as well. »

« Very dangerous road to the VRBO with large buses , blind turns, and no sidewalk. You have to climb 4 flights of stone stairs to get to the VRBO with minimal lighting and heavy suitcases . VERY DANGEROUS »
