perfect for our family
A beautiful old house, loads of charm, plenty of space, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, great back yard and patio, right across the street from a grocery store. We loved our stay!

Eclectic, creative, historic centrally located home
Wow! What a great place! Very spacious, centrally located and cleverly decorated. Loved all the details and interesting items to discover... absolutely spotless. Kitchen one of the best appointed I've seen, and beautifully vintage! The host was an excellent communicator and very accommodating. Within walking distance of campus, downtown, and a dollar store. You will be happy you chose this place and the beautiful town of Baldwin City

Interesting place
From the mannequins, dolls, and to the artwork the house was very interesting and a good conversation piece. Debi was very accommodating and the house was comfortable and roomy for our group to stay.

Stay away
The house was musty. We had to clean the bathroom and vacuum the floor. Someone did not do their job. We loved Baldwin City..... hated the house!

Advice-next time you have a compliant, you might want to consider letting the owner know as soon as you arrive. And also consider responding when the owner sends you messages asking if everything’s OK. I reached out to you several times during your visit and heard nothing back. The house is immaculate and I find it hard to believe that you would have had to vacuum or clean a bathroom. I suspect you are impossible to please? I’m glad you liked our city!

Well, initially the listing stated the "care taker" wouldn't be on site during the summer months, but after I booked and paid, was notified he was staying at the property. The owner did make him make other arrangements when I said I was uncomfortable with that. When I arrived at the home, the house was not ready and the owner and her grandson were there doing laundry. There was a terrible odor coming from the care takers room and the kitchen was stocked with open food items, which was extremely difficult to keep the children out of. I do not recommend children staying at this house because of all the antiques. The home itself is beautiful and the owner was very nice and accommodating.
