Timbuctoo Guest Suite 1 sits on a quiet ranch with easy ranch-road access, minutes from downtown Bandera. The views open across the countryside, with horses grazing and deer moving through the fields. Camp Verde is about four miles away, Kerrville about 17, and the Medina River about eight.



Inside, wood-paneled walls, corrugated tin and ironwork give the room a Western feel. There is a queen bed, a handcrafted table and chairs for two, and a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower and wall drawers. A wall air-conditioning unit, a portable heater, a ceiling fan, a smart TV (sign in to your own apps) and Wi-Fi keep it comfortable, and linens and towels are provided.



A stone path leads past native landscaping to a fire pit, with firewood provided. There is a covered porch and deck with seating, a charcoal grill, and hiking trails on the ranch. The ranch also has a herd of donkeys, exotic deer and a seasonal fishing pond; ask us whether it is available during your stay. Parking has room for trailers and motorcycles.

We usually suggest Timbuctoo for couples who want a quiet ranch a few minutes from downtown Bandera. Horses graze outside the door and deer move through the fields. A stone path leads past a fire pit, and the firewood is provided. There is plenty of parking for trailers, so riders with motorcycles do well here too.
