Come and relax in newly renovated 2 BR, year-around oceanfront chalet with a clear view of Eastern Bay and all its aquatic wildlife from the wrap-around deck or inside. Bring your own kayaks and enjoy water activities right from private's beach. An easily accessible 150' private beach allows for convenience beach-combing, kayaking, bird-watching, fishing and peddle boarding. Or just plain relax and watch the world go by. This property comes fully furnished to sleep up to 6 people. You can also enjoy cozy, romantic evening by the wood stove. The Sunsets are spectacular and can be seen form the porch and the beach.

We really enjoyed our three night stay in this cozy chalet. The water views and sunsets were amazing! My teenage son really enjoyed going down to explore the shore/water every day. The property is well maintained and clean. The house was well stocked and is in a great location- not far from downtown and Acadia. The host was very responsive. We hope to be back again!

My family had a blast staying close to Acadia National Park in this wonderful property. The host was very responsive in questions that I had and she was being proactive during the trip to make sure we did not need anything. Very authentic Maine cabin. Good location to kayak from or there is a ramp and access around the corner. We saw seals playing right out in the bay. Good to be in a quiet area but easy access to the park and Bar Harbor.

Amazing First Trip to Bar Harbor, Great Experience

My wife and I talked about taking a trip to Bar Harbor for years, and finally lined everything up for 2025. We looked at many potential places, but were very fortunate to find the Hummingbird Chalet property. The property was spotless, access to the private beach was great, the location was scenic but close enough to all Mt. Desert Island had to offer. We had a blast, including our teenagers. I'd book here again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much Vira for the wonderful experience.

Perfect Bar Harbor vacation

Our family of 4 (boys ages 11 & 13) had a wonderful vacation in Bar Harbor. Vira’s house is in a prime location on Hadley point. The sunsets on the point are spectacular! We were in town or the park most of the days but the location is super close and convenient! The house was so cute, cozy and had everything we needed. It was very clean and welcoming too. We would love to stay here again if we have the opportunity to visit again! Thank you Vira for a great stay!

Best rental property I’ve ever stayed at

Location is amazing-close to Bar Harbor/Acadia. Very clean. Top notch appliances. Beds are comfortable. Very responsive host and even had the opportunity to check in early. The views are amazing with beach access on property. Great deck for watching the water-even saw a whale from the property. Highly recommend.

Amazing and Perfect

I think our family was the first to stay at this property and I simply can't say enough about the house and the host. The house was perfectly appointed, very adorably decorated and was the perfect Maine cottage to spend time with family. The kids spent lots of time skipping rocks on the beach in front of the house. Lots of great hiking. This is the perfect house for a maine family vacation. Lastly the host was sincere and perfect to work with.

Great location! Clean and beautifully updated.

We had a great stay at the Hummingbird Chalet. The property was beautiful with a great view of the water. We walked to the beach to watch the sunset every night. It's only 10 minutes from the entrance to Acadia and 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. We have 3 young kids kids and they loved the house, the yard, and the beach. Vira made the process easy and was quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Bar Harbor.

Attention to detail!

We have stayed in several VRBO’s and this one may be the best. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more! Slept 5 adults comfortably. Every amenity you would need in the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom. Comfortable beds and pillows, box fan in the closet for those of you that sleep better with a fan like my crew. Simple walk to the private beach or walk 5 minutes down to the public beach. I would recommend this to any family, group of friends or even a couple looking for a quiet getaway close to the park and Bar Harbor.

Hummingbird Chalet

We could not have picked a more lovely chalet for a family visit to the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area. "Wow-factor" water views with a nice back yard and coveted beach access allowing for strolls at low-tide. The property is private, quiet and scenic- a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of nearby Bar Harbor where parking can be challenging due to crowds. Very close access to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, food, mini-golf and other nearby harbors for fishing, sight-seeing, etc. I would 100% recommend this property to any friends or family visiting the area. We'd recommend bringing drinking water given the water supply's mineral content, but this would be our top pick if and when we ever come back to Maine.
