« A Beautiful Stay in the Heart of Cartmel
We had such a wonderful stay at the Cartmel Old Grammar Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldnât have been more friendly, welcoming, and genuinely lovely â they made us feel completely at home.
The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and immaculately finished, with thoughtful touches throughout. With some really lovely communal spaces to get to know other guests and not feel tucked away in your room all day. It strikes the perfect balance...
« Everything here is brand new, in a very old manor. We spent considerable time with two of the three managers while we were there, and found them to be incredibly accommodating and kind. The room was wonderful. Spacious and clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom lovely. The bar downstairs in the old wine cellar is a vibe. « We stayed at the Premier Inn for a week. The staff is amazing and was always quick to address any questions or things we needed during the stay. The room itself was spacious enough with beautiful vistas for a long stay. The best part was the bed; I got my beauty sleep every night.
Breakfast was good if we were staying for two nights, but after that it felt quite monotonous. »

« Our room (number 4) was bright and airy, dual aspect and extremely spacious. Beautifully decorated with quality art deco style accessories. A huge comfortable bed and immaculate shower room en-suite. An unexpected surprise was a small fridge containing bottled water, juice, porridge pots and cereal bars - all of which were replaced each day.Our only disappointment was that the Bath Tap and Chowder Co. was closed for the duration of our stay. »
« Hotel, even without breakfast service, is lovely. Kitchen available to use. While walking I explored slightly further afield and discovered a little cafe on the beach and the stunning old Heysham Village. I heartily recommend staying at this hotel. Owner very helpful. »
« The property is a lovely place that has kept its unique original features. The Victorian facades and interior are refreshingly maintained. The staff are all very welcoming and genuinely friendly. Well located in a rural spot but 5 minutes walk into town, via the sea front promenade. »
