„Das Appartement hatte eine wunderschöne Lage.Sie wohnen in mitten eines Dschungels.Morgens wurde man geweckt durch eine herrliche Geräuschkulisse von verschiedenen seltenen Vögel.Die Anlage war sehr sauber.Die Kommunikation lief reibungslos und Anliegen wurden sofort beantwortet.Die Anfahrt war ein wenig holprig durch einen 3 km langen Schotterweg bergauf.Hier würde ich jedem ein 4x4 Antrieb empfehlen.Das Appartement ist Teil einer Gebäudereihe aus zehn Ferienhäusern. „We had a wonderful stay at Odyssey Villa in Escaleras. The drive is an adventure, but once you arrive, the house and views are absolutely stunning—photos truly don’t do it justice. "Ein richtig schönes, gemütliches kleines Hotel, welches geschmackvoll und ansprechend eingerichtet wurde. Der dschungelartig gestaltete Poolbereich lädt nach einem anstrengenden Tag zum Abkühlen und Entspannen ein. Das Frühstück stärkt super für den Tag und ist reichhaltig. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gemütlich- lediglich ein Sitzmöglichkeit haben wir vermisst. Auch das Abendessen ist gut. Die Nähe zum Manuel Antonio Nationalpark ist ebenfalls ein Pluspunkt. Wir können das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen - trotz vieler schöner Unterkünfte auf unserer Costa Rica Rundreise zählt das Hotel zu unseren Favoriten."

"The view is absolutely breathtaking—truly beyond words—and offers a panoramic scenery that you simply have to experience at least once in your life. However, the hotel unfortunately fails to match this standard when it comes to service and staff. The facilities are also quite outdated, which makes the nightly rate feel significantly overpriced. In addition, the Wi-Fi was extremely unstable, and the cleanliness of the room did not meet expected standards. On a positive note, both the breakfast and the restaurant were very good."

"Review zu Makanda by the Sea. Costa Rica Subjektive Meinung Gebucht Villa, 1 Woche (ca. 1300 Euro/Tag ggf + Tax+Service)) Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, am Hang, mit Blick auf das Meer. 2 Plantschpools mit Liegen und Bar. Abgeschlossen und gesichert mit Parkplätzen. Shuttle zum Strand. Viele Restaurants "in der Nähe", zu Fuß eher etwas für sportliche, wenn kein Auto verfügbar! Zimmer: komfortable und sehr sauber. Wirepool auf der Terrasse, 2 Liegen, Tisch, sonst nichts. Ab ca. 15:00h kein Schatten mehr. Ca. 5m Pool hinter dem Haus . Dieser ist kaum zu benutzen, da viel Laub im und um das Becken. Bodenbelag EXTREM rutschig bei Nässe und sehr gefährlich (Unfallgefahr) . Eigentlich nicht nutzbar. Inneneinrichtung : alles Nötige da, aber sonst nichts über Standard. Strand: sehr schön, ruhig, nur wenige Leute, kein öffentlicher Zugang. Liegestühle, Handtücher. Keine Wassersport , Toys, o.ä.) Essen: gut, sehr teuer. Frühstück: Kaffee, Saft, Früchte kostenlos, Karte, ab 25 Dollar. Spa: nüchtern, nur das Nötigste. Meine Massage -250 Dollar- war unbefriedigend) Sonstiges: Service und Freundlichkeit am Restaurant ok, die am Empfang ist noch sehr ausbaufähig (würde da mal eine Schulung in Asien empfehlen) Zusammenfassend: so wie sich das Hotel selbst lobt, auch hinsichtlich der Preise und auf Grund unserer Erfahrungen in Asien, hatten wir wohl zu hohe Ansprüche. Alles wirkte Rendite orientiert und es fehlte eine gewisse "Herzlichkeit" und hat eher den Charakter eines Durchgang"

"Der erste Eindruck war schrecklich…. Ein wenig einladendes entree….. Mitarbeiter die zur Begrüßung hinter einem hässlichen Tresen sitzen bleiben und von Ordnung auch nichts wissen Aber dann bekamen wir ganz oben ein schönes großes Zimmer mit toller Veranda und Ausblick in den Garten . Das Frühstück war gut .. Man konnte einiges selber vom Buffet nehmen und einen Hauptgang bestellen …Tolle Sache 👍 Mittags gab’s Happy Hour mit guten Cocktails "
