Overall we loved the location and cabin we stayed at with just a few minor issues. First the PROS:
-Campground does not feel over crowded like others where RV's are packed in tight. While it was full, did not feel too busy.
-Very quiet during evening hours.
-Beautiful trees provide shade throughout the property.
-Amenities for kids like a small playground, basketball hoop, and other activities.
-Cabin was VERY CLEAN upon our arrival and everything was in good condition.
CONS-
-The cabin's driveway was off the main County Highway where cars sometimes drove fast, although it was not a super busy road.
-The website for Blue Spruce Campground stated that cabins have "great AC in the summer". While you don't usually need AC in Colorado, the week we were there it was VERY hot and we were surprised to find not all cabins have AC. The unit was very hard to cool off, although management did bring us a portable fan which helped for the rest of the time.
-On our last day the power was out from 10:30-4:30 while a crew was working on it. While I realize these things sometimes cannot be avoided, more communication would have been nice in regards to expected duration. The fridge started to warm up so we had to purchase ice to put in our cooler so our food would not spoil because we did not know how long the power would be out.
Overall we were happy with our experience. The property is close to the lake and we had a good time.
