The reviews were correct about the top bunk, my 12yr old hit his head a couple of times ☺️ the futons need new cushions because they were hard but my hubby said it’s better than the bed because that was too hard for him to sleep on. We ran out of toilet tissue because there was 5 of us for 5 days we were there. The drive way is the only thing that no one put in their review…it’s steep! We had to curb the wheels just in case our heavy van brake handle gave way. BUT other than that… 😆 it’s a lovely place to stay!!! The neighborhood is quiet but that’s also cause of the noise ordinance the city has enforced. House is Close to all the activities, shops and food areas. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking trails, fishing (even tho we didn’t catch any and the fish was literally jumping in front of us staying neener neener) the slide park was fun, the locals said the zoo only had local animals like a raccoon or squirrels so we didn’t go. The observatory is only open once or twice a year so that wasn’t Thing to do. This was our first time in Big Bear Lake so we didn’t know the city starts shutting down at 6pm. Lots of homes are vacation rentals and/or for sale. This rental is a good spot to stay.
