Wonderful, huge home for our multi-generational family. We were allowed to check in 2 hours early (Thank you, Ally!), as a storm was starting on our trip up the hill. Blessed with loads of snow right after we anrrived, and so pleased that our driveway was cleared daily by Destination Big Bear. Everyone enjoyed the theater, jacuzzi and all the table games! The gift basket was also a thoughtful touch. Beds were extremely comfy and there were lots of blankets and pillows. Just a few things would make this place perfect:Hooks!!! Please, please, place some hooks in the house, especially at the entry. We really missed not being able to hang up wet snow gear. Very few hooks in the bathrooms as well. Pot-holders!!! Two is all you need—there were none so we ended up using washcloths. A large stock-pot would be so helpful for large groups. We had to cook pasta in batches in the smaller pot. A lighter in the kitchen. We had an 8 hour power outage overnight, due to the storm and winds. It would have been nice to have been able to light burners on the stove to cook breakfast. The house is well-insulated, though, as we had no heat during the outage with temps in the 20s outside and we were ok. The dishwasher works, but the spring on the door is broken and crashes to the floor when you open it. A few of the chairs were missing bolts (two of them were under the stairs and not usable). Really, though, we would come back! It’s a great vacation home and we had a great time.
