This place has a lot of potential. The setting is peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful desert scenery, making it a nice place to relax. The fire pit and grill were both great additions and really added to the experience.
The RV is stocked with everything you’d need, including utensils, plates, cups, towels, and toilet paper. The mini fridge, restroom, shower, stovetop, and microwave all functioned well, and the bed was comfortable.
The only challenges we ran into were with the built-in RV refrigerator and the air conditioning. We weren’t able to get the built-in refrigerator to work during our stay. We followed the instructions we were given to try to get it working, but it still didn’t get cold, so we’re not sure what happened. It also had a noticeable odor. Thankfully, the small mini fridge helped, but it wasn’t large enough for all of our food, so we ended up buying a larger cooler with ice.
The air conditioning was already set to its lowest temperature, and while it definitely helped, especially in the evenings, it struggled to keep up during the hottest part of the day. Considering Borrego Springs’ summer heat, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during the warmer months.
Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful amenities the host provided. With a little attention to the refrigerator and cooling, this could easily be an even better stay.
