« This cabin is in a perfect location, with stunning a long views and an outdoor hot tub. The pros include wide open floor plan, great shower, plenty of linens and easy to use entertainment. The cons are the whole place feels a little bit shabby, with all the woodwork caulked but not finished, lots of stinkbugs inside, and poorly equipped, mis-matched kitchen gear. « Initially was supposed to be a joint Spring break-ation with another family but ended up being just myself and my two 7 year olds and two 13 year olds. They absolutely loved the lower-level /basement gameroom and the loft area. The 5 of us had tons of room, the beds were comfortable. My girls loved the soak tub in the upstairs bathroom. Our host was very responsive to a few questions we had, and added several sweet personal touches to our stay that made the house cozy and welcoming, especially for my kids. « We had such a wonderful weekend at the cabin. Bob was a great host and even provided breakfast the first day. The cabin was spacious and cozy at the same time and the views from the porches and the dock were beautiful. We enjoyed the canoe rides on the lake and early morning yoga on the dock. The cabin was so easy to get to and in a great location close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. We hope we will be able to stay here again in the future. »

« Five stars for this beautiful and cozy cabin which is just as described. Plenty of space for 7 adults with comfy common areas to socialize and 4 nice bedrooms & bathrooms for privacy. Kitchen was clean and very well stocked. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the hot tub and the fire table on the back porch after a long hiking day.
