Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet, leider war das Fenster kaputt und es war sehr kalt. Unser Zimmer lag neben der Flurtür, welche sehr laut war. Für zwei große Koffer nicht geeignet.

Guter Service
Der Service rund um unseren Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Das Personal war super freundlich und hat sich echt mühe gegeben. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein - wir hatten schon ein "größeres" Eckzimmer, aber auch das war klein. Badezimmer war winzig. Alles aber sauber und ordentlich. Insgesamt ist das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Positiv zu erwähnen ist definitiv noch das Bett und das Bettzeug... Wirklich gut! Wir haben es auf dem Zimmer auch als relativ hellhörig empfunden in Richtung des Flurs und zur Straße raus. Die Lage ist gut und man ist gut angebunden.

Das Hotel The Alice Boston, ehemals The Chandler Inn, liegt sehr gut gelegen in Boston. Man kommt fußläufig schnell in die Stadt. Auch Abends fühlt man sich sehr sicher, sodass späte Kino- oder Barbesuche in der Innenstadt kein Problem sind. Zudem gibt es Fahrräder im Hotel zu leihen, mit denen man auch weitere Ausflüge wie z.B. zur Harvard University oder zum MIT machen kann. Der Name des Hotels ist Programm, überall gibt es alles mit Ananas-Motiven (Kissen, Bademäntel, Regenschirme etc.). Leider entsprach unser Aufenthalt trotzdem nicht ganz unseren Vorstellungen. Wir wurden nicht über den Namenswechsel des Hotels informiert (gebucht hatten wir noch The Chandler Inn), sodass wir sehr irritiert waren, ob das Hotel denn das richtige sei. Des Weiteren ist das Zimmer sehr klein, man kommt mit Koffern im Zimmer kaum ums Bett herum und es gibt auch keinen Schrank um seine Sachen aufzuhängen oder die Koffer wegzupacken. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, nimmt aber leider den gesamten Raum ein. Parkplätze gibt es an der Unterkunft keine und das Parken auf 24h Parkplätzen ist überall in Boston ein teures Vergnügen. Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist und mehrere Tage bleibt, sollte man sich definitiv vorher eine günstige Parkmöglichkeit heraussuchen. Achtung "versteckte" Kosten!!!: Es gibt es zwar Wasser und die Möglichkeit die Fahrräder auszuleihen, (worüber beim Check-In kein Wort gesagt wurde), dies wird aber über eine Gebühr in Höhe von 15 $ pro Nacht und Zimmer abgerechnet.

The rooms are VERY small but clean and comfortable. Staff was super nice. Very walkable to many locations in Boston. Bar and restaurant looked good although we didn’t try the food the drinks were reasonably priced for Boston

Had some problems at first with the Wifi and A/C unit. Opening a window worked given the A/C wouldn't work this time of the year. Wifi issues were remedied.

Overall I would give my stay a 3.5 out of 5. The hotel is clean and overall cute. The staff was nice but when I asked for new sheets and towels they seemed to forgotten about my request. The room is a bit small but comfortable for 2 people max. The heater although on full temp and full power did nothing but push out cold air. Along with the charges for amenities I don’t believe that the charge for 20 bucks per night is reasonable since you don’t get much out of it. In the room you are given 2 water bottles for the entirety of your stay unless asked for more. Water along with the coffee and sugar and cream should be accessible for guests especially water. Overall the stay was fine.

THE GOOD.. Beautiful hotel. Decor, energetic. Delightful staff. Perfect location. Bar and restaurant okay. THE NOT SO GOOD.. Please be aware you'll pay a DAILY amenity fee - and I quote: for turning on the TV 👀, Keurig coffee in prefilled Kcups from yesteryear, prefilled creamer filled with preservatives from yesteryear, NO fridge, bottled water (and not the Acqua Finna from the lobby's fridge) Wi-Fi and bicycles. All of which I did not use. At the very least include it in the price with boutique quality amenities (fresh beans and a fridge to store creamers of all kinds)... Quality over Quantity. Not forced with subpar returns.

Very cold in winter - old leaky windows, and heating didn't work. Sound travels between rooms and hallway. It is an old building that was nicely renovated on the surface but still has issues of an old residential building. Good location.

Comfy bed and clean room
The hotel room was very clean. They pay nice attention to detail with the decor. Many reviews said the bathroom was small, and I agree. However my husband and I were only there for one night, and he's 6'2. We were both comfortable, and he felt comfortable showering since the shower was more spacious. Because of the size of the room it's great for a long weekend or a 2 day trip!

This was one of my favourite hotel rooms on my recent travels through the US! Really cute decor, very clean, large comfortable bed and cosy bedding. Coffee and coffee machine provided, and robes which is just a really nice touch! It was very quiet, even though there is a bar underneath the hotel - you cannot hear this in the room. Walking distance to everything Back Bay has to offer, and close to public transport. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again when I next go to Boston.

Such a cute little boutique hotel in a fun part of town. Walkable (by our standards anyway) to almost anything you'd like to see in and around downtown Boston.

This hotel was very clean, modern and convenient to walk to most things in the Boston area. Lots of great restaurants in the area and their restaurant was great too! Lovely staff and great little touches that make this hotel fun. And it was quiet. We were on the 6th floor but the street was quiet too. It is on the small side but very comfortable and clean. We just had a broken lotion dispenser but that was okay.

Great place for a short or overnight stay in Boston. Location was perfect for walking around to see the sights and the staff were super friendly and helpful!
