Situated just outside the small village of Augignac, 11kms north of Nontron in the Perigord Vert this holiday cottage affords stunning views & secluded terraces both by the property & beyond the lake & is an excellent base for exploring the many chateaux & medieval sites throughout the Dordogne. The master bedroom leads directly out to a decked terrace looking over the gushing stream that once would have housed the original water wheel & is perfect for morning breakfast. Another secluded south facing terrace on the same level leads easily down to the parking area where the eyes follow the stream continuing through the woods. Large open plan living space on the first floor with log burner & exposed beams is accessible from either the interior spiral stairwell or exteriorly. Lake Saint Estephe is just a 5 minutes drive away ( swimming, boat hire, tree climbing ) perfect for all the family to enjoy. Nontron, 11kms, thriving pretty town, largely pedestrianised & famous for its cutlery production & weekly local markets, all amenities is definitely worth a visit. Brantome, 32kms the beautiful riverside town, nicknamed the venice of the Perigord is a short trip away and many good restaurants & gift shops. Not suitable for those with restricted accessibility as various levels & steps
