„Although there was on site restaurant it was closed for bookings and only take away Saturday and Sunday, then beginning of new week it did not open until Thursday and was fully booked both remaining days even though tried booking for Friday on Thursday. Of course there are cooking facilities in the room but when you book a week away you would like ro be able to have a meal without having to drive. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay in a lovely place.“

„Beautiful property in a quiet area, advertised to be Carlisle but was a few miles out, this wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Parking available on the street, internet and phone available. Only improvement I would recommend would be to swap the bed from a double to a king, however this wouldn't stop me from recommending the place.“

„Die Kommunikation mit Hellen war hervorragend, so dass wir die Unterkunft sofort fanden und der Check-in problemlos verlief. Die Unterkunft war sehr gerĂ€umig, sehr sauber und die KĂŒche sehr gut ausgestattet. GeschĂ€fte und Einkehrmöglichkeiten waren fusslĂ€ufig zu erreichen. „I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks ...

„We loved our stay at the Milecastle Inn. Our little apartment was a perfect size for us, clean and well equipped. They even stocked it with snacks and breakfast items. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was cozy with good food. The most amazing part was that you can easily walk to Hadrian’s Wall from the Inn. It is also right next to the bus stop from Haltwhistle and the train station. Overall it made for a perfect vacation!“

„If you want to visit and learn about Hadrian's Wall, there is no better location. Three miles from the Roman Soldier Museum, three miles the other way from Vindolanda museum and excavation. One mile the other way to Cawfield Quarry to hike. Plus great Pub food and comfortable inn. “
