The AC was broken upon our arrival Sunday afternoon. We notified the staff who sent a repairman quickly. The repairman was unable to fix the AC that night, so around 8:00PM the staff sent an employee with a portable AC unit. The portable AC was unable to cool the entire condo until well into the next day, and we had to place fans through the condo to pull air to the back rooms. When we woke up the next morning we discovered around 1/2" standing water from wall to wall beneath the sofa bed where the portable AC had leaked. We cleaned it up immediately to avoid ruining the floor and notified the staff. We also fixed the drain tube ourselves so the portable AC would no longer leak. We were told the main AC could still not be fixed that day. The portable AC was fine, but it was quite loud and we could not hear the TV even at high volume. The (very kind) repairman fixed the central AC Tuesday morning. We requested a refund from the condo and we were given one night's rate before the fees and taxes. We requested a second night's refund because the AC was broken for 2 full nights and we were denied.I want to emphasize that the Pointe Royale facility and the condo were fantastic. The condo was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very kind and courteous. Communication was fast and easy. The pools and gated security are amazing. Unfortunately, we were notably disappointed with the refusal of a second night's refund despite the main AC being broken 2 nights.
