The beauty of Slovenia is only excelled by the kindness and hospitality of its lovely people, so it is with regret that we give the Eco resort only an average score. There is a specific problem which we understand will be remedied for the 2020 season. The resort is in two parts: eco chalets which are lovely and have indoor bathrooms, and then 17 two-person "glamping" wooden huts which only have the toilet block for the restaurant by way of facilities. Two toilets, two showers and one sink for women and the same for men, all in the same tiny block. Potentially 34 people to use these facilities. The showers overflowed and the toilet floors were permanent lakes. my teenage daughter cried at the thought of having to use a shower with men less than 1 metre away. access was down unlit steps, which were not easy for children to use. We complained, paid extra and spent the rest of our holiday in one of the chalets. they told us that they plan to build a proper toilet block soon. The second problem for us concerned animal welfare. Some peacocks were in a large cage and the height was low - this meant that when the peacocks wanted to perch on the roof of their little house inside the cage, they had to bend their heads and necks. It was distressing for us to see this.
