I was expecting an old house and some quirks but that does not excuse the state of the furniture. There were no chairs in the house that were close to comfortable, all seemed to have come from a thrift store. There was even a wooden chair with a giant gaping hole in the seat that was covered by a cushion. The air conditioner broke while we were there and while I understand these things happen and the host tried to have it fixed, there was not way to get air circulating into the house because there was only one door that actually opened to the outside with no way to open windows, in a four bedroom house. It was much cooler outside than in the house. Although the host was attentive through the chat function, I asked her to call me to resolve more quickly and she would not, so we missed meals with our family while trying to organize a handy man. This was hands down the worst rental experience and vacation I’ve ever had.
