  • Summary:

Wake up to the sound of lapping water and the glow of the sun rising over New Hampshire's most pristine lake — welcome to Newfound Lakeside Cottage #2, a charming waterfront retreat nestled along the eastern shoreline of Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH.

Part of a classic lakeside cottage community established in 1950, this place blends classic New England charm with modern comforts. Best suited for up to 4 guests, with space for up to 8 using the loft, ideal for small families.

    The Space:

Enter through your private entrance into a bright, airy open-concept living space where soaring vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, warm pine hardwood floors, and nautical coastal décor set the tone immediately. The living room is anchored by a large sofa and a sitting chair, a flat-screen TV with DirecTV and Roku for streaming, and large lakeside windows that flood the room with natural light and frame jaw-dropping views of Newfound Lake and the surrounding mountains. It's the kind of view that stops you mid-sentence — every single time.

The fully equipped kitchen sits at the heart of the cottage in true open-concept fashion, featuring a gas range/oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, drip and Keurig coffee maker, toaster, knife set, and all the cookware and dishware you'll need. A large breakfast bar that seats 2–3 makes casual mornings easy, while a separate dining table that seats 4 is perfect for family meals. Whether you're making a big breakfast before a day on the lake or cooking dinner after a hike, this kitchen has you covered.

    Bedrooms:

✔ Bedroom 1 (Main Level): Queen-size bed with dresser, and ceiling fan — a comfortable, calm retreat for adults.

✔ Bedroom 2 (Main Level): Queen-size bed with dresser, and ceiling fan — bright and cozy with a beachy, relaxed feel.

✔ Loft: Accessible via a steep ladder from the main living area, the loft contains a queen-size and a full-size mattress and is best suited for kids or adventurous younger guests. Please note: the loft has low, sloped ceilings — you cannot stand upright — and requires climbing a steep ladder to access. It is not recommended for adults, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility concerns. Think of it as the kids' secret hideaway up in the rafters!

✔ Linens and towels are available for a $55/stay fee, or guests are welcome to bring their own.

    Bathroom:

One full bathroom with a shower, vanity with medicine cabinet, and wood-trimmed accents in keeping with the cottage's classic New England character.

    ★ Outdoor Living ★

Step outside and you're right on the water. The cottage includes access to a shared dock, giving you direct lake access for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply dangling your feet over the edge with a cold drink in hand. Various outdoor seating areas invite you to soak in the stunning mountain and sunset views, while a private grill lets you fire up dinner al fresco. A shared firepit on the property is perfect for evening s'mores and stargazing.

Mooring Available: Bringing a boat? A mooring is available for $75 per stay—just let us know in advance. Please note boat and trailer parking is not permitted on-site. Trailer storage is available at a nearby marina for a small fee; simply stop in and mention you’re staying at Lakeside Cottages to arrange parking. If arriving on Saturday with a trailer, please plan to drop it off before 2 PM while the marina is open.
