Great welcome from Andy and the owner but no getting around the fact this is an old facility that while not atypical of UK B&B is sadly way behind what one expects in other countries. Heating coming on only for a short time morning and evening and an old creaky bed (described as King but UK King is actually a small Queen) very very busy road and extremely old small shower. Great little breakfast area but doesn’t make up for a not great sleeping experience.

Didn’t think it was worth the money
Arrived when it was dark and raining no lights on the court yards very dangerous trying to go up the steps. Room was not as clean as we would of liked The bathroom doors were glass and see through ok for families but not friends. Shower a few hairs in the tray. The bedside wall light full of dust. Breakfast was do it yourself, all in the fridge opened packets of cheese and meat ( one was out of date) how many people had handled the meat and cheese. All in all not an enjoyable stay

Beautiful B&B
Beautiful B&B, extremely comfortable beds, the owners were very friendly and even left a bottle of Prosecco for us as it was our wedding anniversary. Overall a lovely nights stay and would definitely recommend.

The Old Star
This was my second visit to The Old Star. A fantastic little B&B that was perfect for my trip to Bristol. Really friendly hosts, perfect location and a lovely room.

Comfortable stay in superb location.
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location and the room was comfortable. It is close to the M32 which is useful for getting into Bristol Will stay there again

Really friendly reception
A lovely little B&B where I was made to feel incredibly welcomed. I could not have asked for a friendlier and more helpful reception from Andy who was looking after the place for the owners. My room was comfortable and there was a plentiful supply of food for the DIY breakfast

Friendly B&B. Very clean. Interesting decor. Good fire safety. Comfortable bed. Only downside - difficult to spot from road. Would fully recommend.

Star Hotel Pye Corner
Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on business in Bristol. Lovely B&B, comfy good sized room, relaxed atmosphere and Andy couldn’t have been more welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

Great B&B close the Bristol and M4
Lovely B&B, really friendly owners, very handy for M4/M32 junction. Bedroom was clean and had everything you need. The breakfast is self service continental, we both though the choice was excellent, more than enough to set you up for the day.

Very comfortable room, up narrow stairs. Good facilities available for making snacks and a great choice of continental breakfast. Phil and Karen both very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Barn conversion beautifully done. Breakfast choice good and could ask for something different in advance if needed. Hosts could not do more

A comfortable stay
We were taken to our room and made to feel at home. Everything we needed to know was explained to us before we asked. It suited our needs very well for our one night stay. The only slight criticism was that the room for breakfast did not have a window and was a little bit snug.

Great location for Bristol and surrounding area
Fantastic hosts, beautiful place with a great location for Bristol at the surrounding area. The rooms were spacious very clean and lovely decorated throughout. Lots of additional guest facilities unique to their bed and breakfast. Cooking facilities, fridge And all other conveniences. The only frustrating thing was the sensor light in the bathroom which was constantly on and off and even though we were there for a very short amount of time this became a source of great frustration. Fantastic hosts, good value and we would definitely stay again.
