I sent my client and her partner to the Osage cabin for a romantic getaway. The next morning I received a call from her about the amount of roaches in the cabin. Roaches of all sizes. Tons of roaches. I immediately call maintenance from the number provided. The gentleman spoke to me as if I was an inconvenience. I asked if they could be moved to another cabin due to the roaches and now the roach spray used to exterminate the critters. He told me they would have to assess the conditions of the cabin and get back with me. (It's not like my client was unhappy with the pattern in which the towels were folded. We're dealing with roaches.) The young man sent to spray for the roaches was just as disgusted as my clients. (Clients also discovered a can of roach spray under the kitchen sink. Therefore, Creative Escapes was aware of the roach problem, but only wanted to apply a band-aid to the problem.) After an hour, still no word. I called the booking side of the number provided. I spoke to Kari. She also needed to work on her customer service tone while on the phone. However, almost as soon as I got off the phone with her, she called my client and offered them a new cabin. They were moved, and it was quite the upgrade from the Osage cabin.
In summary, do a good inspection of the room upon arrival. Including checking under the kitchen sink. I understand, they don't know what their guests bring with them, but they are responsible for the cleanliness.
