Unterkunft ist eigentlich gut gelegen, Bahnhof in Gehdistanz. Zimmer sind sehr ungemütlich eingerichtet. Wenig Ablagefläche für 3 Personen. Da wir die Zimmer nur zur Übernachtung genutzt haben, war es ok, Preis-Leistung stimmte.

Empfehlenswertes Hotel
Wir haben eine Nacht im The Augustin übernachtet für einen Kurztrip in Brüssel. Wir sind von der Haltestelle Schuman (EU-Viertel) zum Hotel gelaufen, um erste Eindrücke der Stadt zu erhaschen - Dauer ca. 40 Minuten. Das Hotel befindet sich auf einer Hauptstraße, die zur Rush-Hour stark befahren ist, aber nachts war es angenehm. Spätshops, Bars und Cafés sind in der direkten Umgebung reichlich zu finden. Und der Grand Place ist auch nur ca. 12 Minuten entfernt. Der Check-In ging zügig, unser Zimmer war im ersten Flur gelegen hinter der Rezeption. Es gab einen Wasser kochen und für jede Person 2 Teebeutel. Das Bett war schön groß, Zimmer generell auch, und komfortabel, der TV hatte 3 deutsche Sender und die Fenster konnten mit einem blickdichten Vorhang abgedunkelt werden. Im Bad gab es Spender von L'Occitane für Seife, Shampoo und Duschgel. Leichte Spuren von Abnutzungen an den Wänden, Fugen unsauber verarbeitet, an der Heizung war ein großer roter Fleck, da scheint sich etwas eingebrannt zu haben - ansonsten alles sauber und für so einen kurzen Aufenthalt wie unseren absolut empfehlenswert.

Bei der Ankunft war unser gebuchtes 3 Bettzimmer wegen eines "technischem Defekts" nicht bereit. Wir bekamen ein Kleineres in der ersten Etage. Dieses befand sich zwischen elektrisch gesteuerter Eingangstüre und Gehsteig. Die Türe ging dauernd auf und zu, auf dem Gehsteig quatschten einerseits die Raucher des Hotels und andererseits Passanten. Es war also recht laut. das Fenster konnte nicht ganz geschlossen werden, der Teppich war schmuddelig und schmutzig und der Tresor war defekt.. Ab der zweiten Nacht hatten wir dann unser 3 Bett Zimmer m 3. Stock. Im einen Bett war die Matratze beidseitig durchgelegen und unbenutzbar. Den Tresor konnten wir auch hier nicht benutzen, da er geschlossen war. Auf Reklamationen reagierte das Personal nicht wirklich freundlich. Eine Rückerstattung können sie nicht gewähren, da ich die Reise über e_Bookers gebucht habe :-( 4 Sterne nicht verdient!

Wir waren über Silvester im Hotel Floris Avenue in Brüssel. Zum Zimmer muss man sagen, dass es ausreichend groß war (3-Bett Zimmer). Wir hatten drei einzelne Betten, die allerdings sehr durchgelegen waren. Man spürte jede einzelne Feder. Außerdem war das Zimmer relativ schlecht beleuchtet. Allgemein war das Zimmer sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war für unsere Ansprüche ausreichend (Orangen- und Apfelsaft, Wasser, Kaffee, Tee, Croissants, Brötchen, Brot, Baguette, Käse und Wurst, Marmelade, Nutella, divers. Müsli, Obstsalat, Tomaten, Gurken...). Es war immer ausreichend von allem vorhanden und alles war frisch. Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage, man geht nur ca. 5 Minuten zum Grand Place, zur Börse und zum Bahnhof Midi/Zuid. Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen kostenlosen Wifi-Zugang. Negativ aufgefallen ist uns zur das Personal. An einem Tag fehlten unsere Handtücher. Nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage haben wir auch bis zum Abend keine neuen Handtücher bekommen. Es hieß, die Lieferung werde jeden Moment erwartet, man müsse neue Handtücher vom Partnerhotel ordern. Als wir am Abend (nach fünf Stunden Wartezeit!) erneut nachfragten, sagte man nur "Keine Ahnung, ich bin doch nicht der Taxifahrer". Anschließend mussten wir uns die Handtücher auch noch selbst holen gehen. Das fanden wir für ein vier Sterne Hotel nicht angebracht. Ein "Entschuldigung" haben wir nie gehört. Bei der Anreise wurde uns gesagt, es sei kein 3-Bett-Zimmer mehr frei, obwohl wir dieses gebucht hatten. Ob es für uns okay wäre, ein Doppelzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer zu nehmen. Als wir das verneinten, war plötzlich doch ein 3-Bett-Zimmer verfügbar. Auch das ist uns negativ aufgefallen. Alles in allem war das Hotel absolut in Ordnung, gerade wenn man das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis betrachtet.

This was my 3rd stay at The Augustin, staff always friendly and polite. The only issues we had this time was the fridge was not working and the shower hose leaked and would wet the bathroom a considerable amount. Was reported to reception who arranged for maintenence to sort it out. Breakfast buffet is between 7am-10am at €15 per adult.children under 12 free. I would advise not going late as the don't restock the hot food near closing time. Overall breakfast was good. Location of the hotel is really good about 10-minute walk from Eurostar and 10-15 to the centre depending how far you want to go. If I come back to Brussels I would definitely stay again.

Instalaciones muy antiguas, limpieza muy mejorable, desayuno escaso y poca variedad. Lo recomiendan para familias pero la cuna es inutilizable, y no hay ni una rampa para subir las escaleras de la entrada con un carro, y no son pocos escalones. Lo único bueno, la localización, cerca del centro y con la estación cerca, pero el barrio no parece muy seguro por la noche. Sin duda, no es lo que se espera de un hotel de 4 estrellas, y menos por el precio que tiene.

Déplacement Bruxelles.
Extérieur élégant mais chambre vraiment quelconque. Meubles et décoration défraîchis. Pas digne d’un 4 étoiles. Literie agréable. Salle de bain à refaire. Serviettes pas agréables. Accueil poli et personnel sympa. Je vais plus dans l’hypercentre d’habitude mais là grande place est à 8 10 minutes à pieds.

Good location
Good location with easy access to metro, train, and downtown by foot. Surprisingly quiet considering the location. Good water pressure and toiletries.

It's a nice, cosy little hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, the surroundings could have been better. The security could have been improved. It felt like anyone could just walk in. The lifts can be accessed without a key card as does the rest of the hotel facilities.

Nice hotel, shame about our room
The hotel is well located and looks good in the common areas. Unfortunately we were given a poor room on the top floor that had reduced headroom for about 1/3 of the space. The bathroom was particularly uncomfortable. When we checked in, we were told that someone had already been checked in under our name and the implication was that we were lucky to get a room at all. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable. Overall we were disappointed.
