A Perfect Tuscan Escape for Families

My wife and I, along with our three little kids, had a wonderful stay at this beautifully renovated farmhouse in Tuscany. We visited at the end of May when the weather was perfect, and the blooming green vegetation added to the charm. The impressive property sits atop a hill, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the picturesque Tuscan landscape. We were thrilled to have a direct view of the renowned Montalcino, famous for its wineries. The location was also ideal for exploring, with Siena just a convenient drive away. We stayed in a spacious and clean apartment within the large farmhouse. The traditional Tuscan decor gave it a warm and authentic feel. The garden was well-maintained, and the large pool was a highlight for the kids. The apartment was well-equipped with all modern amenities, including WiFi, a laundry machine, a dishwasher, TV, and a fully functional kitchen. Our hosts, Silvana and her family, were incredibly friendly and supportive. They welcomed us warmly and provided seamless communication throughout our stay. Their recommendations greatly enhanced our experience. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment. Overall, we had an amazing and memorable time at this beautiful farmhouse. We highly recommend this property for a family-friendly Tuscan getaway. We look forward to returning and give it the highest rating. The hosts’ genuine care for their guests made us feel truly welcomed.

Fantastic and picturesque location

The host was great, helping us with settling in and providing us with a multitude of thing/places to do in the area. The 2-bedroom suite was just as described, but the bedrooms themselves were not directly air conditioned. It was a little uncomfortable at night, but not a deal breaker. Would we stay there again? In a heart beat!

Stunning location and warm welcome

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Podere Cunina and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the stunning unspoilt Tuscan scenery with the most amazing 360 degree views from the pool/shared grounds that really take your breath away. The surrounding area has so much to see and do, all within 30 mins to 1 hr away and Siena is very accessible for an afternoon/evening (35 mins by car). We were only there for 5 nights/4 days and could have stayed much longer as it was such a great location. Silvana and her husband Giorgio were very warm and welcoming and gave great advice on where to visit. We'd love to visit again someday!

Perfection

I don’t even know where to begin. From the moment we arrived at Podere Cunina we were in awe of the beauty and the kindness of Silvana and her family. The listing does not do it justice. The botanic gardens are spectacular, the pool so relaxing, the home spotless and authentic, and the views mesmerizing. We were in Italy for a three week holiday and our stay at Podere Cunina was the middle of our trip. We relaxed, recharged our batteries, and enjoyed going into town for dinners. Try Il Cantuccio Wine Bar got apertivo and dinner! We will definitely return to your home Silvana. I long to sit and watch the storms roll in, hear the bees buzzing and birds singing, and smell the sweet jasmine. Grazie mille!!

Short but so sweet...

We only had two days to spend at Podere Cunina, but they were perfect days. The setting is simply beautiful. Our apartment was lovely and comfortable. Marcello took us on a full day tour of the area and we learned so much about the local wines and towns. We would love to come back at a warmer time of year to experience the pool and the outdoor places to enjoy the views.

If I could give this stay/experience a 10- I would! Everything was perfect and Sylanna and her family were so very nice and accommodating! They made you feel like family. Podere Cunina was the perfect home base for our extended holiday in Tuscany.

Our family, two adults and two boys 8 & 9 years old, absolutely adored the property that we chose based on its location. The host family was welcoming and attentive even though they were busy running a working farm. We spent a day with Marcello learning to cook a menu of traditional Tuscan dishes and this was a definite highlight for the whole family. We just left and our boys can't stop talking about our next visit.

Nous avons connu la meilleure expĂ©rience de tout notre voyage de vingt-sept jours dans le nord de l'Italie. L'emplacement prĂšs de la rĂ©gion du Montalcino et Montepulciano que notre gentille hĂŽte nous a recommandĂ© de visiter pour se rincer l'Ɠil en mĂȘme temps que sa proximitĂ© de Sienne est idĂ©ale pour apprĂ©cier la Toscane. Bien que cette rĂ©gion charmante oĂč on sent que les habitants prĂ©serveront au mieux la qualitĂ© de la terre et des immeubles nous ait ravie, nous avons fait en sorte d'assister bĂ©ats au lever comme au coucher de soleil bien assis dans des coins amĂ©nagĂ©s sur la propriĂ©tĂ© mĂȘme pour profiter du spectacle. Et quel spectacle ! Un rĂ©gal pour les yeux et une nourriture pour l'Ăąme. Quant Ă  l'intĂ©rieur de la propriĂ©tĂ©, vous y trouverez des piĂšces d'artisanat qui vous reporteront les dĂ©cennies plus tĂŽt, tout en bĂ©nĂ©ficiant du confort moderne d'une cuisine et d'une salle de bains bien Ă©quipĂ©es. Je rĂ©serve mes derniers commentaires pour nos hĂŽtes qui sont prĂ©voyants, chaleureux et qui ont un attachement Ă  ces terres de la Toscane manifeste par la culture qu'ils en font, mais aussi par leurs connaissances de ses spĂ©cificitĂ©s. Au-delĂ  de tout, la famille entiĂšre met tant d'amour Ă  l'ouvrage de voir Ă  tout et Ă  tous, ils sont d'une discrĂ©tion et d'une efficacitĂ© exemplaire... Bref, ils font honneur Ă  leur mĂ©tier de faire vivre une expĂ©rience de voyage mĂ©morable au plus grand nombre. Saurez-vous en profiter ?
