Schöner Aufenthalt. Außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, aber per Auto oder Hotel Shuttle ist die Innenstadt schnell zu erreichen. Sehr nettes Personal an der Rezeption.

stayed there the first night when flying in late in cape town. that was absolutely ok. for a longer stay I would rather go more central.

blonde Rezeptionistin eine Katastrophe!
Die blonde Dame an der Rezeption war absolut unfreundlich, inkompetent und arrogant. Sie hatte rein gar nichts im Griff und das Internet konnte sie auch nicht bedienen. Sie wollte uns den Preis im Internet nicht geben, zeigte uns ein Zweibettzimmer (wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie), auf unsere Frage, wo denn die Kinder schlafen würde, meinte sie nur, es käme darauf an, welches Zimmer man buchen würde....?! Sie zeigte uns zwei Zimmer, von welchem sie die Zimmerschlüssel nicht dabei hatte, so dass wir auf dem Flur warten mussten und so ging es weiter.....eine Katastrophe!Das restliche Hotelpersonal war sehr kompetent und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer absolut toll und das Frühstück sehr köstlich!

The hotel is very dirty and old. The room felt like a jail cell or hospital room. Luckily I was only there for one night. It was so bad, my partner and I didn’t even use the shower or anything. We left as soon as we woke up.

Dear Martia, this is an unfortunate review to read and we are sorry that you left disappointed. Our standard rooms average 26sq.meters in size, with the room you received being slightly over that average. Our Deluxe rooms offer more space and luxury at an average of 35 sq.meters.

The area is as safe as any other Cape Town suburb. We recommend caution after hours, which is unfortunately a realistic view of safety in South Africa.

Disappointingly Dirty, StainedCarpets for a Hilton
This was my second stay at the Hilton. While the hotel room is great and staff very friendly, the are where the hotel is located is not great. I feel safe and comfortable driving there alone during the day but not so much at night. On this stay my room was prepared to my standards as allergy free and very neat, clean and comfortable. The combo door where the safe was could not be easily opened and closed. What I was very disappointed about was that on the 2nd floor where I was, the corridor carpets were absolutely filthy, stained and unhygienic. It needed a thorough spring cleaning! This level of filth is not in keeping with Hilton hotels as I have stayed in many across the world.

I was extremely happy with this hotel. The room was excellent, the food was great and the Service was awesome. Please book all your tours with Mr.Abrahams, he made my stay a whole lot easier, he's the life off this hotel and I will definitely go back here because off him. Maliq was very helpful and Anieka in housekeeping was awesome. This is my new found family at Double Tree Cape Town.

A pretty good experience overall
My experience was good overall. Most of the staff was helpful and polite. I did notice however that they treat the white Americans a bit better than Black Americans (friendlier, chattier, engaging), not sure why. The location was definitely more urban, but I felt safe. Grocery store, gas station, a few restaurants, and the highway were all in close proximity. The room was extremely spacious and clean. If I return to Cape Town, this is where I'll likely stay.
