„We had a wonderful experience. The hosts were very welcoming with frequent communication and provided everything we needed to know to make our stay wonderful. We went during the winter and had a great time at this large lovely home. Very close to many ski resorts. The house itself is new with everything up-to-date. We were comfortable with everything we needed for a family winter get away. Would definitely book again. “

Pan selection was a bit limited (can’t bring your own due to having an invection stovetop) and only plastic wine glasses available (makes sense for when down by water), so if you’re a wine snob, bring your own glassware. “

However, upon arrival, we found that the sheets and bathroom rugs had not been properly cleaned, and there were no extra linens available. This caused a significant delay in settling in late at night. Management was responsive and refunded the cleaning fee, but I strongly recommend ensuring the cleaning is done thoroughly before guest arrival.“

„Lazy Bear Lodge is a great West Shore place for summer activities; ideal for spending days at Meeks, Chambers, or heading up to float the Truckee. Kitchen had everything we needed. The front seems pretty hemmed in by the neighbors but the back of the property opens up to the woods. We got to see a bear and her two cubs roll past one evening which was exciting for the kids.
