« Extremely clean, well maintained, above and beyond staff service. We also happened to stay on a Monday night and was served a full complentary dinner including drinks, beer or wine. The aqua center is very clean and the grounds outside are pristine! »

« Hairdryer only operated on low. Elevator was questionable. It jerked and often landed lower than the floor creating a step & possible tripping hazard. Front desk gentleman was alone and very busy, but went above and beyond to offer help if needed. He was very apologetic about the wait checking in even though we were not overly concerned. »

« I expect a typical “free breakfast” when I stay at a roadside hotel…scrambled eggs, sausage, an assortment of breads and cereals…the usual fare for such establishments. The bar is not very high. Unfortunately, Fairfield in Wheeling didn’t make it over the bar. The assortment of offerings was fewer than the average, and no breakfast meat, at all. When the expectation is pretty low to begin with, failure to meet the expectation is disappointing. You gotta pick up your game, Fairfield. »

« I can’t imagine this place being open in the near future. The walls are crumbling, entire sections of the roof were missing, there was a piece of plywood between the box spring and mattress I had to be careful I didn’t t break my toes on because it stuck out so bad, the water in the pool left a slimy scum on my skin, there was no remote for the tv, the blow dryer didn’t work, the chairs were so filthy I was afraid to sit down in them, the staff were clueless as to what was going on in the area...

« The hotel is getting dated. It is CLEAN, the bed is comfortable. Shower can be a bit wonky at peak use time. "Mine kept plunging to ice cold in the evening, the wife's was perfect in the morning" go figure.;-) The staff are more than pleasant and helpful. This is our 7th or 8th stay, Our mid-way point of the trip. Will stay here again I assure you. »
