Hotel Chaptico

« This hotel is very cute, clean and centrally located to the downtown Leonardtown area. Parking was very accessible and easy and I loved that breakfast was included. My only issue was the woman working at the front desk when we checked in. She was grumpy and not very friendly. We arrived at noon so we understood it was early and that all of our rooms might not yet be ready, but she seemed annoyed at us! And didn’t offer any accommodations to help us settle in after a 7 hour drive. »

« We booked this hotel for the price and the pool for the kids, but not worth it in the end. The staff was nice enough, so no complaints there. Main complaints are: pool being closed for the season and lack of an elevator for getting luggage up to 2F. Room for the first night was rather poor (got in late so we got the very last 2-bed room available): we found a roach and millipede in the bathroom, sink drain was nearly clogged, and there was no chair or refrigerator. « The room had a sofa and desk seating area when you walked in the room. The bathroom was next and then the bedroom. The bedroom had the a/c unit. In order to cool off the sofa area the a/c had to be set below 70. Then you got a freezing bedroom and a much warmer sofa area. The sofa was very hard. We looked at the pullout mattress, but it was lumpy and you could feel the springs. The actual bed was fine and the walk-in shower was great. »

« Did not use the laundry service. Parking was convenient. On the afternoon of July 17 when we checked in, the refrigerator in the room was not working. The desk clerk very quickly found us another room and solved the quandary. She deserves to be recognized for excellent service. »
