Welcome to The Carriage House of McKinney—a private luxury studio tucked away near Historic Downtown McKinney. Spend the afternoon by the pool, unwind in the hot tub, then hop on the complimentary golf cart for a quick ride to the Square for dinner, cocktails and shopping.

Back home, settle into a king Purple mattress with our Pillow Concierge and premium linens, enjoy a fully equipped kitchen and 70” TV, or start your morning with your choice of Nespresso or freshly brewed Breville espresso. Thoughtful touches like a Dyson hair dryer, luxe bath products and pup-friendly amenities make this little carriage house feel more like a boutique retreat than a typical vacation rental.

And yes — your pup is welcome, too! 🐾

SLEEP LIKE A DREAM

At the heart of the loft is a luxurious king-size Purple mattress dressed in premium, hotel-quality linens.

And because the right pillow can make or break a good night’s sleep, you’ll also have our signature Pillow Concierge, with soft, firm, cooling, down and hypoallergenic options for different sleep styles.

Need room for more? The living area includes a queen sleeper sofa, allowing The Carriage House to comfortably accommodate up to four guests.

YOUR OWN LITTLE SPA

No sad hotel toiletries here! We believe the little luxuries make a stay memorable, so the bathroom is stocked with Bumble & Bumble shampoo and conditioner, locally made FarmHouse Fresh body wash and lotion, L’Occitane hand wash and a Dyson hair dryer.

And yes, we even spring for the good three-ply toilet paper. It’s the little things, sugar!

COFFEE, ANYONE? ☕️

Whether you want your morning coffee fast or you’re feeling fancy, we’ve got you covered with both a Nespresso and Breville espresso machine.

We provide coffee and espresso along with cream, milk and oat milk. You’ll also find Evian still water and San Pellegrino sparkling water waiting in the refrigerator.

Prefer to stay in for a meal? The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook and enjoy dinner at home.

POOL + HOT TUB

One of the best parts of staying at The Carriage House is our backyard retreat.

Take a dip in the sparkling pool, spend a lazy afternoon poolside or finish the evening soaking beneath the stars in the hot tub.

The pool, hot tub and fenced backyard are shared with our main residence, although we make every effort to give our guests plenty of room and privacy to relax and enjoy them.

EXPLORE HISTORIC DOWNTOWN McKINNEY

Historic Downtown McKinney is one of our favorite things about living here — and one of the best parts of staying at The Carriage House.

Spend the day exploring locally owned restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, wine bars, antiques and art, then stick around for dinner, drinks and live entertainment around the historic Square.

Even better? Take the golf cart! 🛺

Guests who meet our golf-cart requirements may use it within a one-mile radius, making trips around the neighborhood and into downtown part of the fun.

Golf-cart drivers must be licensed. After booking, we’ll request a copy of the driver’s license and personal auto insurance before providing access.

Prefer your own two feet? Historic Downtown McKinney is close enough to enjoy on foot as well.

STAY IN & GET COZY

After a day exploring McKinney, settle in with our 70” TV, basic DirecTV channels and your favorite streaming apps.

We also keep board games on hand for a little old-fashioned competition.

Throughout the loft you’ll find local art and pottery, along with a custom mural painted by a local artist on the staircase. We love supporting our McKinney neighbors and bringing a little of our town’s personality into the space.

We also add seasonal touches throughout the year, so The Carriage House may look a little extra festive depending on when you visit.

PUP-FRIENDLY 🐾

We love furry travelers! Our shared fenced backyard gives your pup room to stretch their legs and enjoy a little Texas sunshine.

Because even a fenced yard isn’t escape-proof, we ask that dogs be supervised whenever they’re outside.

Dogs left alone in the loft must be crated. Don’t want to travel with a bulky crate? Just ask — we’re happy to have one waiting for you when you arrive.

You may occasionally see our own pups, Winnie and Maggie, enjoying the shared backyard, but we make every effort to ensure their schedule doesn’t interfere with your stay.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING

The Carriage House is a private studio located above our detached garage and is accessed by 15 stairs. A sturdy handrail runs the entire way up. Please make sure everyone in your group is comfortable climbing stairs before booking.

The loft itself is completely private. The pool, hot tub and fenced backyard are shared with our main residence.

Self check-in makes arrival simple, including later arrivals.

For longer visits, garage parking may be available upon request for stays of 30 days or more.

The Carriage House comfortably sleeps up to four guests with one king bed and one queen sleeper sofa.
