Tolles Essen und urigen Pub
Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das gebuchte Dreibettzimmer war etwas zu klein, aber witzig eingerichtet. Der urige Pub und das sehr gute Essen machten das alles wieder wett!

This hotel is not worth £100 a night and would like a refund as this hotel is not what the pictures show at all and feel angry having payed for this 3 star best hotel

A great shame.
The room was disappointing considering the charge. Tired furnishings, extensive evidence of a roof leak, poor standard of cleaning. Breakfast on the first morning of two was appalling! Porridge is not just oats with hot milk poured over the top… poached eggs were badly cooked, black pudding was undercooked. We also noticed another couple had left almost all of their full English breakfasts. The second morning was better but not outstanding. Had we been paying £60 per night, I wouldn’t have minded so much, but it wasn’t worth £100 per night.

Nice stay in a friendly pub, food and service was good and room comfortable if a little on the chilly side but meant that it wasn't too hot for sleeping. Would recommend

Excellent accommodation - lovely pub, good choice of beers and food. Comfy room with usual facilities. Very impressed that they opened the kitchen early so those of us attending Great North Run could grab breakfast before heading into Newcastle.

Nice hotel/bar.
My 2nd time of staying here, and, had the same friendly welcome. Room was just the right size, with all thats needed in there, comfortable bed as well. Good selection of drinks at the bar, great size portions of food as well. Decent sized breakfast to help start the day. Overall, a happy stay!

Front rooms are noisy as the property is on a main road. There was an issue with the lock on the bedroom, it did not lock every time, which was known to the property, but seemed to be accepted. Staff very friendly and meals were good.

The hotel was lovely and staff very friendly. We worry about Covid but had no worries staying there. Plenty of space if we wanted a drink or meal. Felt relaxed and enjoyed our breakfasts and a chat with staff. Room was perfect.

The staff were lovely but the breakfast was poor, undercooked sausage, no milk, frozen bread. Room furniture needed more cleaning and lamp shades grimy and curtains not clean on stairs, staff were lovely and very helpful

Great place to stay for going to Beamish.
Room was really nice, bed really comfortable - wife loved the dressing table. Let down was the black mould in the shower easily resolved by regrouting. The breakfast was lovely, the food in the restaurant was excellent - staff exceptional. We have already recommended this place to friends and family.

The bar was great -excellent atmosphere and a great 80s playlist. However, the room was tired and in need of a revamp. Wallpaper was coming off the wall and damp stains on the bathroom ceiling. Breakfast was ok on the whole and staff mostly friendly. Overall, it was ok but we thought pretty expensive for what it was.

We had a great time, found the staff very friendly the meals at the hotel were in our opinion the best we have had in a long time. The atmosphere of the hotel was so pleasant that we would not hesitate in using this hotel again and will recommend it to our friends and family.

Okay but not great.
More a pub with rooms than a boutique hotel. The room was in need of renovation and looked tired. Sound insulation was not great and there was a lot of traffic noise and noise from the pub below. The pub food in the evening was great.

Lovely place, staff are friendly and helpful, room was nice and clean. The food is delicious, and their Covid19 rules were easy to follow. Staff made you feel completely at home, nothing was any trouble and they genuinely want you to have an enjoyable stay. If I had to point out where improvements could be made, I would say the rooms are maybe a little tired looking, but still lovely. I wouldn’t think twice about booking here again, the price and service you’re getting make it real value for money.

My recent visit to the North East.
I have always found The Lambton Worm a good place to stay. The location is good and the staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is usually very nice too. The only thing that is starting to show is the slightly tired decoration in parts of the property. That being said I will stay there again no doubt as this is only a minor consideration.
