This duplex was perfect for my three sons and myself. We stayed five days to attend one of my son’s Navy Graduation! House was very clean and modern. Had everything we needed, was a nice neighborhood, quiet neighbors? Close to everywhere we needed to go. Only suggestion would be to have the owners secure the rugs, they are very slippery.

At first glance, it looks clean!
Items in closets weren't neat and organized. There had been items like sugar, seasonings, etc., left by previous stays that had not been removed. I'm sure I wasn't the first person charged a fee for cleaning. However, when I walked in, there was a spider in just about every corner. That shows me that there may be lots a space between each stay and the money ISN'T being spent on cleaning. Someone should come in at least the day before and give a quick check or clean. I did let the owner know that the coffee maker did not work properly. They did apologize. However, once I let them know about other issues, they stopped responding.

Quiet and cozy
This was the perfect place to stay while we attended our grandson’s graduation from Navy boot camp. The neighborhood was beautiful with the trees in brilliant fall colors. We even had a light dusting of snow one day. Our host was very accommodating to all my questions.

The home is wonderful! The manager was amazing when it came to communication. I feel that he is trying to figure out a good cleaning/maintenance crew that can support his expectations. Definitely would recommend!!

A visit from Sweden.
We drove up from NC to meet a friend who flew in from Sweden to run the Chicago marathon. This property was a great place in the suburbs, away from the hustle and bustle of town.

The property was very cute and had plenty of space with a nice outdoor area even though we did not get to use it due to the weather. The property had a lot of potential. However, the screen door had the door knob not fixed and the property was dirty. There was hair on the floors and in the bathroom. The vents were dirty as well as some of the other areas.

Great place. Not 3 bedroom
This place was great. Clean and spacious. It was comfortable for me and my kids, and located just around 15 minutes from Six Flags and many restaurants. The only issue I had was that I did not read the fine print. On the main page, it stated 3 bedroom, sleeps 6. Well it's 2 bedrooms, and they count the living room and pull out couch as a bedroom and bed for two. Outside of that issue, the stay was great. I will stay there again.

NOT A 3 BEDROOM, FALSE DESCRIPTION
I booked this stay for my out of town family coming in from California and Canada for a wedding. This listing shows a 3 bedroom and sleeps up to 6 adults. There is one master bedroom with a queen bed for two people, then another bedroom with two tiny beds, 1 person for each so 4 people. The last "bedroom" is the main living room which has a small couch that had a slide out underneath to lay on. You will not sleep two adults on this couch. I ended up buying a queen air mattress and placing it in the living room for the other two adults in my family. The frustrating part is that everyone was trying to get ready for a wedding and with 2 grown adults having to change in the middle of the living/family room was embarassing. The owner was kind and replied that this is a misunderstanding between the Vrbo listing and it's the "sites fault." Whoever is at fault, I paid full price for a 3 bedroom that slept 6 adults and there were only 2 bedrooms when they arrived. I was offered no discount or compensation for this and was out of pocket $150 for an air mattress that I had to buy from Target last minute. Very frustrating, the house overall was clean, the sliding back door was always getting stuck and the knob to the front door screen also wasn't working properly, but the main inconvenience was the fact that this lisiting is not accurate if your basing your choice on this being a 3 bedroom. It's a 2 bedroom with a living room.

Very Nice
Nice duplex. The neighborhood is fine and quiet, with a wonderful park/playground/basketball court/track within walking distance. The home was clean and felt fresh. There were some minor inconveniences (the doors get a little stuck, so you can't open or close them quietly, and one of the sink traps wouldn't open very large to allow water to leave the sink, but my father actually fixed it). For me, the most important thing is customer service. During the trip, we had no A/C. We messages the owner, who responded quickly, apologized, and tried his hardest to help us out. We couldn't figure it out. On the check-out date, while we were cleaning up after ourselves, my mother opened the closet in the kitchen, and saw the A/C unit. The switch had been turned off (one of the check-out procedures is to turn off all appliances... I think someone thought that included the A/C!). The fact that the owner was so responsive and willing to work with us to fix the issue says a lot!!! If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is it. It's about 1.5 hours away from the main part of Chicago (because of traffic). But there are a lot of things to do within 30 minutes of the home.
