Casa Escondida: Serene Historic Adobe, Sleeps 21

Gather in community at Casa Escondida, a historic adobe on six quiet acres in Chimayo, just 30 minutes from Santa Fe. Book all 8 rooms, each with a private bath, for up to 21 guests. Unplug and spend real time together: card and board games by the kiva fireplace, mornings on the covered porch, and stargazing under dark New Mexico skies. Hiking trails and hot springs are nearby. Ideal for family reunions, retreats and group getaways. Five rooms welcome dogs.

- Kiva: 1 queen + 2 twins, kiva fireplace, tub-shower (sleeps 4)
- Luminaria: 1 queen + twin daybed, sunrise views, private patio, tub-shower (sleeps 3)
- Vista: 1 queen + twin daybed, sunset views, private deck, tub-shower (sleeps 3)
- The Casita: freestanding, 1 queen + sofa that converts to a full, kiva fireplace, private patio, its own kitchenette, tub-shower (sleeps 3)
- Alma: 1 queen, the home's original wood-burning stove, tub-shower (sleeps 2)
- Juniper: 1 queen, walk-in shower, covered patio shared with Piñon (sleeps 2)
- Piñon: 1 queen, walk-in shower, covered patio shared with Juniper (sleeps 2)
- Mariposa: 1 queen, clawfoot tub with shower (sleeps 2)

Every room has its own private bath.

Shared spaces: the covered front porch, the living room with its kiva fireplace, the dining room and the covered back patio.

GUEST ACCESS
Check-in is at 2 PM with keyless entry, and door codes are sent before you arrive. If you'd like to arrive earlier, just ask and we'll do our best to make it work. Your group will have the run of the main kitchen, including the stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, a large toaster oven, a kettle, herbal teas, glassware, dishes and silverware.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- Minimum stay: 2 nights. Holiday stays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Monday holidays) require 3 nights, including the holiday.
- Meals: Let us take care of the food! For an added cost, we can arrange breakfast each morning, a welcome mocktail party, picnic baskets for your day trips and group dinners right here at Casa Escondida. We happily accommodate dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. We're also glad to do any grocery shopping you need and have everything stocked and waiting before you arrive. Just tell us your wishes, and we'll plan every detail together.
- Housekeeping: Daily housekeeping is included. Just schedule your cleanings with us when you book.
- Bring along your furry family member! Dogs are welcome in 5 rooms for an additional pet fee of $25 per dog, per night: up to 2 each in Luminaria, the Casita and Alma, and 1 each in Piñon and Juniper.
- Casa Escondida is a historic adobe in the rural community of Chimayo, with all the rustic charm that comes with it. Like most homes here, we're on well water, and we keep the guest fridge stocked with double-filtered water and citrus water. Outdoor lighting is kept low to protect the night sky.
- No smoking or vaping indoors. Both are allowed outside only, at least 10 feet from any room. Because of wildfire risk, please take extra care.
