« The staff were lovely, the room was clean but the hotel was tired. The meal times advertised were not kept to. We wanted an evening meal on the Sunday. The times advertised were 5.30 - 7.45, but when we asked we were told the kitchen closed at 5 on Sunday. Breakfast was good. The hotel served our needs and was not terrible but we thought it expensive for the facilities offered and would not visit again. »

« Really enjoyable experience, lovely setting and really helpful staff. The only issue was with the air conditioning not working during this heatwave. Would be good to be fixed to avoid this. Great experience however and really good facilities »

« It was easy to self check in and the room had everything needed for a great stay including the breakfast box. We took the dog with us and the room was ideal with plenty of room for us. We didn't see any staff as all the information was sent via phone. The staff member I spoke to on the phone to add the dog was very helpful and efficient. Lovely place to stay. »

« It was too cold in this hotel, the heater started at 5 pm and stopped around 9 pm. And then from 6 am until 9 or 10 am, so it wasn't enough for this kind of room in a this kind of hotel with bad insullation, only a simple glass window. The maximum temperature was 14°C. I sleept with pullover !!! And particulary in the shower room with only 12 to 14 °C I will never be in this hotel. »

« Room was lovely, clean and coffee machine. Went for the Ibiza night. Great music, great food! Blankets supplied for the chilly evening. Nice touch. The owners are hands on and really can’t do enough for everyone. Stating again for the Ascot ladies day. »

« Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly. »

« Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area. »

« It was a nice place and clean until we pulled the sofa bed out and it was dirty, a quick hover wouldn't have done it any harm. Overall its a nice place to stay, we did try and phone the numbers given to inform of the condition of the sofa bed however not one number was answered, we ended up getting the caretaker, who was 100% helpful »

« Grande chambre spacieuse, bien équipée, wifi. Grand parking pas de problème pour trouver une place. Grand choix pour le petit-déjeuner. Si la chambre donne sur la route il peut y avoir un peu de bruit car passante à vitesse assez élevée. »
