We had to wait 30 minutes to check in. The room was quite dirty in most areas, especially the shower. Additionally, the hotel itself was visibly dirty inside. Upon checking out, we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for someone to return to the desk. I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

What a strange place. Felt kind of shabby and unloved. Front desk unattended on several occasions. Staff slow and sometimes unhelpful. Hallway carpets scuffy. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was very good either. On the plus side, king balcony was large and had a nice lake view. Bed very comfortable and sheets were nice. I guess this is all you can hope for in such a small town?

This property was incredible and the staff is super friendly. When we arrived we were told that our card was declined, but we then realized that it was actually a “virtual card” and that Expedia had taken our money, but did not pay the hotel and secure our room. We were told by the front desk that “we were lucky” that they didn’t give up our reservation when the card Expedia used to pay our reservation was declined…

It was adequate for the amount of time that was spent in the room. Room was a bit small—but was clean. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast. Andy at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. Thanks Andy!

So sorry to report that I checked into a room where the bathroom was so unacceptably dirty. There was a grey film covering the shower floor , the plug had been pulled from the sink and left on the counter with lots of hair wrapped in it.. and upon bringing this to the attention to the front desk, the response was unpleasant and accusatory, as if somehow, I’d done this to the room. I’ll never come back.

The overall cleanliness at this hotel was completely unacceptable. The floors had not been vacuumed or swept (there was visible hair in both rooms we were assigned to), and the toilets were also dirty with hair and bodily fluids. Additionally, one of the front desk employees, Kiki, had the audacity to claim she didn’t see the bodily fluids on the dirty toilet and made a point to suggest my standards were too high. So, if your standards for cleanliness of a toilet include no urine or feces on it, apparently you’re too fussy for this place. Truly uncomfortable, we will never stay here again. We checked out early, and didn’t receive any refund or discount for any of the issues. Beware!

At check in, they charged me $100.00 deposit. They had a sign at the front desk. Said it would be returned in 5-7 days after they checked my room. There was no mention of this when I booked my room. I never got a receipt at check in, never got a receipt when I checked out they said I would get an email, still haven't got a receipt. The bathroom had sewer gas smell for several hours. The phone in the room wasn't connected, no cords just a dead phone on the table. Breakfast bar had no eggs, no meat. Just breads and cereal, coffee

The 100 deposit was an authorization only and does state that we require a deposit on the booking website where you made your reservation. We did not email a receipt since we do not have your email on file. Clarion Pointe does offer eggs, meat and a potatoe for breakfast so not sure what happened the morning you came in for breakfast. Was not aware that there was a smell in your bathroom since we did not see where it was reported to the front desk. Please consider giving us another chance to provide you with execellent service.

the hotel sits right on Buggs Island Lake. We had a balcony, Next door is a sports bar that had a singer on their pier. I sat and listened from hotel property. Sweet.

Very newly remodeled. Lovely lake views if you get a lake view room. The only downside was they require a $100 deposit and if you put it on a debit or credit card, it takes up to 14 days to get it back. This was not previously disclosed and was not expected at all. It has been a 9 days and I have not gotten my deposit yet.

i liked the view of the lake. i did not like the room the beds were hard/toilet rocked around/coffee and blow dryer don't work / housekeeping does not clean your room, does not make the bed. he just takes the garbage then comes back hours later with towels and toilet paper, i think they only have1 housekeeper for the whole hotel we will never go there again.

MOLD!!!!!
Room looked nice and had a great view of the lake but our patio was filthy. The chairs had spider and slide webs on them, i had to clean them myself. The door to the patio had mold on it. I had my grand daughter with me and I going to make her a bottle, I went to put water in the coffee maker and it had mold in it. The code maker probably hadn’t been cleaned in months. Also, we had spider webs in the ceiling of our room. I guess they just surface clean and that’s it. I’m waiting to hear from the manager. I give it ⭐️⭐️ and only because Andy at the front desk was VERY PLEASANT

I spilled a bit of water on the floor, wiped it up only to find the floor was filthy!! Toilet seat about to fall off and tub drain didn't drain well. Makes one really wonder if the room is being cleaned!

Could Be Cleaner
The overall stay was great. The rooms could be cleaned better. Both beds had hair on the sheets like they were never changed after the previous guests. You could run your finger across the shower and it was white from soap scum and the toilets didn't look like they had been cleaned.
